View Full Version : Heat were injured in 15' but nearly made 16' ECF w/out Lebron like 94' Bulls w/out MJ

Playoffs

16' WADE...... 22.3 PER.. 4.9 bpm.. 0.148 ws/48.. 0.8 vorp.. 22/6/4 on 47%
94' PIPPEN.... 22.8 PER.. 5.6 bpm.. 0.149 ws/48.. 0.7 vorp.. 23/8/6 on 43%

^^™ the difference is that Wade was building the Heat like a real 1st option does, while Pippen drove the Bulls downward and was borderline lottery in 95' before MJ restored 3-peat caliber.

Only a 13-15 record with a healthy Wade & Bosh in 2015, the year after LeBron left.

27-23 the next year in 2016.

Wade and Bosh missed 40 games in 2015, but a healthy 16' Heat matched the 94' Bulls by nearly making the ECF..

And Pippen was borderline lottery in 95' until MJ returned to restore 3-peat caliber - so Pippen was getting worse every year and driving the Bulls downwards, while Wade was building the Heat back like a real 1st option does.

Furthermore, Wade had a team that was blown away by record amount in 2014, thus underperforming every Western playoff team that faced the Spurs - so Wade had the equivalent of a 1st Round Western team, while Pippen had a 3-peat team..

So Pippen was better than Wade? Got it.

The numbers show that the only reason you guys thought Wade sucked from 13-16' was because his production had fallen to prime Pippen level... Even fossil Wade was still matching peak Pippen in the 2016 Playoffs... Because Pippen's caliber is a low bar

He never sucked. He wasn’t healthy at all in the 2014 playoffs though.

Lebron had a 3rd HOF in Bosh, so he didn't need Wade to be great, and 14' Wade was still more productive than 93' Pippen:

COMPARING SIDEKICK HELP WHILE TRYING TO 3-PEAT:

Playoffs

14' Wade...... 18.7 PER.. 0.086 WS/48.. 28.2 pts per 100.. 106 ortg
93' Pippen.... 16.9 PER . 0.083 WS/48.. 26.2 pts per 100.. 102 ortg

Unfortunately, Lebron's skill restriction to ball-dominance had reduced Bosh to spot-up shooter (that's what Bron does to stars), thus robbing Bosh of the capacity to step up, i.e. average 20 or dominate when needed like other 3rd options Klay, Jrue, Manu, Ray Allen, Worthy, etc..

Shows me how overrated wade was. Iverson would have taken bosh to the finals

Shawkfactory and 8ball, what should we think about these numbers 3ball posted? Is he wrong?

It doesn’t interest me in the slightest because he chooses, based on his argument, whether to use these numbers for regular season, playoff run, or specific series (go ahead and check Wade and Pippens respective finals numbers those years).

He’ll also randomly choose to use PPG and FG% when it’s convenient for him too.

The inconcsistwncy of the criteria is a joke.

So no, I don’t care about those numbers.

Thats what i have been saying for a while and debunks 1994

Wade in 2016 when healthy, did exactly the same thing without LEBRON and BOSH

2nd round exit. Game 7

Pippen had horace at least

Wrong: 1994 Pippen with Horace = 2nd round game 7
2016 Wade no lebron or bosh = 2nd round game 7

100%. He’ll never breathe a word about Wade’s 2013 playoff numbers, but will always bring up his Finals stats. Go to the very next season and Wade’s 2014 playoff numbers are now relevant, but his Finals stats are never to be mentioned :lol

PLAYOFFS

13' Wade...... 18.5 PER... 3.0 bpm... 0.108 ws/48... 1.0 VORP
93' Pippen.... 16.9 PER... 2.0 bpm... 0.083 ws/48... 0.8 VORP

^^^ so jordan won with less help for a playoff run

FINALS

13' Wade...... 20/5/5 on 48%... outscored opposing #1 option
96' Pippen.... 16/8/5 on 34%... outscored by Schrempf

^^^ so jordan won with less help in the Finals.. Pippen averaged 19.0 on 42% for his Finals career.

Ultimately, Jordan won Finals without super-teams or 1b's (equal-scoring partners to attract equal defensive attention), and he beat Finals opponents that had more all-star players in 93' and 96')

Comparing a healthy season with a 100 % known non healthy season

Thats why no one except your other 3/4 alts take your opinion seriously

That Jordan won with less help for a playoff run and Finals?

That Lebron needed more help to win, aka 3rd stars and equal-scoring partners in the Finals?

Lebron simply can't carry the scoring load in the Finals, so he needs sidekicks capable of elite 1st option stats...

I was just about to say that. The 94 Bulls didn't or weren't able to find a decent replacement for Jordan. If they did, the Bulls probably win the Championship.

Wade won the title before Lebron ever came. Lebron never won a title before Wade and they came in the same draft and Wade did it for a franchise that never won prior to him.

Deng is a much better replacement for James than Pete Myers was for MJ.
