I’ll vote for Ray Allen here. It just doesn’t feel right omitting probably the second-greatest shooter of all time from the top fifty.

His marksmanship in addition to his underrated all-around skillset in itself merits a slot on this list. Under slightly more favorable circumstances, he’d most likely have the Finals MVP (2008) and a Finals appearance as the clear-cut leader (2001) on his dossier; that, with the rest of his body of work, easily would’ve forged a top-fifty career, which he arguably has in actuality.

True but guys like Ray, Pierce, Tmac and the like are probably due over the next 10 positions so there may be renewed interest( maybe I'm being hopelessly optimistic). This board is collectively better equipped to discuss those players than the likes of Dave Cowens who's more of a 'look on basketball reference for any 60/70s stars that we've probably overlooked' pick.
