His team is winning and he's leading the league in assists and steals.

Could he win in a Steve Nash fashion? It's unlikely with guys like Curry, Durant, Jokic, Butler, and Giannis.

But hear me out: what if Phoenix runs away with the 1 seed?

Is there a chance he could do it?

No, something would have to happen to Curry and Durant. Curry is on pace to break the single season three point record again. Breaking his own record. And when he set that record it was his MVP season. Phoenix could have the best record in the league. If Curry makes over 400 threes, breaks his own record and the Warriors are a top 3 record in the league, he'll win MVP.

Small chance but Curry is the clear leader at the moment and it is Steph's to lose.

So has Draymond. That's what playing next to Steph does( unlike playing next to Kawhit). Oh by the way, Iggy wasn't on the team last year and this is what Steph did:

32/6/6 66% TS

Now here's Draymond in 2020 without Steph:

8/6/6 49 TS%

and with Steph in 2021:

8/8/8 60% TS%

And to briefly digress:

2020 Clips with Kawhit: chokes 3-1 lead to 7'1 Windhorst and 4th year non all-star/nba guard

2021 Clips once Kahwit gets injured: advances past #1 seed Utah on the road led by all-star guard and all-star/all-nba/all-defense/DPOY center

No. He's nowhere near as good as any of those guys. He's playing great but can get an honorable mention like last year (same with Rudy/Mitchell when the Jazz do well).

When do you reckon we'll see Kawhit take a lottery cast from the ground up to the playoffs? Joined 60 win Spurs, then 59 win Raptors, then 48 win Clippers( who didn't have a single all-NBA/star on the roster). Warriors missed the playoffs last year, true, but they were on a 44 win pace over 82 games with an up and coming roster( plus Steph and Draymond missed 9 games each). Kawhit wouldn't sniff that total if he was in Steph's shoes last year, because he doesn't close to the same ability to elevate or lead. Draymond would have been dogshit, for one, just as he was in 2020 because Kawhi doesn't open up the floor for him the way Steph does. I mean shit, what are the Warriors doing this year with basically the same core roster?

Unlike your waste of oxygen, I'm happy when players outside of the star player on the team do well. You need a quality team to win chips.

Can Dray be successful without Curry holding his hand?

Too bad he never played without Curry, so we'll never know...

He did for pretty much the 2020 season, it wasn't pretty...

8/6/6 49 TS%(39% from the field). Frankly below starter level...remember about 5 years when a few dimwits were saying he was better than Barkley? :yaohappy:
