Every superstar of this era is at the end of their prime or slightly past their prime.

And this season every superstar have a real shot to win and really improve their legacy.

The stakes are high, let's see who have most to gain from this year championship.

1. Chris Paul - what is the difference between careers of Oscar Robertson ranked top 15 and Chris Paul ranked barely top 30 or sometimes top 40? One championship. If Chris Paul wins this year as the best player of this Suns team, he can easily jump 20 spots in all-time ranking.

2. Lebron - He is neck and neck with MJ at this point, barely loosing in the eyes of the media and casual fan. Chip this year can really make him favourite in the GOAT debate.

3. Harden, Westbrook, Carmelo - Considered as career loosers, theese guys can turn it around in one great playoffs run against stacked field.

4. Curry - if Steph wins this year, especially if he gets elusive FMVP, he jumps right into top 10 in the eyes of general public and gets to top 5 for his fans.

5. Durant - Always #2, won his chips on another mans team. Now, when he's finally have a case for being best player in the world, if he wins championship of his own, people might start to consider him as top 10 player.

NO excuses this year. Everybody got a good team, let's see who can pull it off against this field.

1. Suns winning a championship will not make Chris Paul jump 20 spots in the rankings.

2. Lebrone and MJ are not even close to neck and neck. Lebrone has had too many epic chokes to be in the top of any intelligent person's all-time rankings. He's fringe top ten.

3. Don't disagree.

4. No way Curry is sniffing top 5 - FMVP or not.

5. Durant already has shown he's the best in the world. I don't know where this "always #2" comes from.

LeBron has already surpassed MJ and any additional accolades further serve to BURY Jordan's ass even deeper. LeBron's all about burying deep into someone's ass.

The 3 with the most at stake historically are Curry, Durant & Kawhi (if he comes back). Curry & Durant enter legitimate top 10 conversation with a title this year, while Kawhi moves himself into top 25 discussion.

Unless he has a 2020 type playoff run, I don't think another LeBron where he's unquestionably not the Lakers best player is moving the needle against Jordan.

You're definitely tripping about CP3 :lol If the Suns had won last year not a soul would've put him top 15 or in Oscar's territory, best case scenario he's top 25 if he helps lead the Suns to a title.

And I don't think Harden really shakes the choking narrative since he'll very likely be riding Durant's coattails to a title, but if he manages to actually play well and have clutch moments, he'll be able to somewhat silence them. And a title for Westbrook and Carmelo would mean virtually nothing, esp for Melo.

6. Giannis back to back title get him into the top 20.

You seem to know a whole lot about the last part. How's that ass and throat healing?

I'm assuming OP's referring to older players, since everyone he mentioned is 32+

Oscar Robertson - 12 all-star. 11 all-nba, 1 mvp

Chris Paul - 11 all-star, 10 all-nba

They seem very close to me. Why would you rank Oscar that much higher if CP3 adds chip?

Lol its so weird that people can even put LeManufactured in the GOAT sentence.

His peak was never close to MJs and his accolades are weak.

He needed many collusions with top tier help.

He played in a weak Conference and got raped when he faced real teams...more often than not.

All he has is empty longevity stats on his side....cool

Neck and neck? :oldlol:
LeBron surpassed that never having a .500 season without Pippen, 1-9 loser years ago.

Sure, for stans or haters it can vary, but for people who don't give that much damn about Lebron or Jordan, they are neck and neck.
