76ers should of taken care of it before the season started. Dragging it out and embarrassing themselves, they are handling it like a sacramento kings level franchise.

It has been a nightmare situation, no doubt, however Morey is doing the right thing now.

More than a month into the season and the wheels are starting to fall off a lot of teams. Soon players will become disgruntled, GMs and Owners getting edgey and once players become openly available for trade the dynamics will shift and those offers for Simmons will change.

Aside from all that, given opportunity Tyrese Maxey is absolutely flourishing right now. Add him in a deal with Simmons plus Maybe Curry (who has had a good start to the season) and then a deal for an All-Star doesn't look so stupid all of a sudden does it now?
