Hakeem, Ralph Sampson, and Drob all had that wing foot speed but Drob more explosive.

Similar but Giannis has a Gumby like quality and I’d bet longer arms. Drob may have been a little smoother with his movements though:

A lot of plays Giannis makes Drob wouldn’t be encouraged to try.

Hes in that short list of old bigs that could be new tweeners though.

Who would be better if we swapped them though? I do think DRob could win in this era with the supporting cast Giannis has, but could Giannis match Drob or do better in his era?

He's my second favorite player of all time. In this era, Robinson would be a better, more skilled Giannis.

I don’t think either wins in a swap due to how their teams were built. The Bucks would be closer to being able to maintain but they would suffer short term as well. And Giannis while a monster defender isn’t as much of a rim protector or man to man post defender because he doesn’t need to do those things in the traditional “Funnel the guards to the shot blocker” kinda way.

Good argument. I do think Giannis lacks the post skills to dominate in the 90s. I would say he's about as valuable as D-Rob in the 90s so the two are very similar in their ability/impact IMO, though Giannis obviously came into the league much earlier (19 vs 24) & could develop into a better player, we saw shades of that in the 2021 POs.
