Maybe. Will have to see it play out. Karl malone was still pretty good at 37. He was 23 pts game on 50% shooting. Jazz won 53 games that year. My guess is bron will finish around 23 also with around the same efficiency. Malone played 81 games also so he was very reliable even at 37. Have to see how brons body hold up.

Kareem was 22/8 and 60% at 37. Played 79 games.

He had some months where he was killing it. Like he was averaging like 24/8 on 63% shooting.

But I think LeBron will end up the best. We'll see. Hopefully his body can keep it up.

Cool. Why doesn't OP make this thread 3.5 weeks from now?

As long as he doesn't miss like half a season or something. After this season he could do in in two more seasons. The record is 38,387, he's currently at 35,618. He'll crack 36,000 this year, Possiblly could crack or get near 37,000 before the end of the season. Could do it at 39 years old. I think it would be cool if he played against Bronny or with him in his last season at 40ish, broke the scoring record and called it a career. Four rings, four MVPs, two gold medals, all time scoring leader, and only player in NBA history to have 38,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 10,000 assists.

The 2002 Wizards won 18 more games because 38-year old Jordan was playing far better than Lebron's current level before his injury in game 47 - Jordan was 1 of 3 guys averaging averaged 25/5/5 (kobe, tmac, mj) before he got injured, whereas Lebron isn't a top 3 perimeter player right now.

Btw, how can you guys look at this trash skill, and say that's goat

3 perimeter guys are averaging at least 25/7/5.

Paul George, KD, and Lebron.

So yes, he’s a top 3 perimeter player.

Where are his 51 point games, numerous 40 point games and 3 game-winners over Shawn Marion, and against the Knicks and Cavs?... without any HOF teammates to attract equal defensive attention? (mj faced max defensive attention)

Otoh, Lebron is just living off his super-team and the easier stats that are available when you have 3 or 4 equal-scoring teammates attracting equal defensive attention and taking all the pressure off

Where was jordan's AD, Westbrook, Dwight and Melo?... it was all on jordan for his whole career

Lebron added HOF Westbrook to a championship core, while Jordan joined a 19-win team and had them at the 4 seed before getting hurt (still won 18 more games despite the end-of-year collapse without MJ)

And we all knew that Jordan stepped it up in the playoffs, so we knew that 25/5/5 would become 30/6/6 in the playoffs and actually he was getting that in his last 10 games before the injury.
