He would still be good if he always played like this. In his prime, he was capable of still being good playing like an idiot but now not so much. Honestly as big as a fan as I was of him in his heyday, it sucks he never was able to consistently play under control, he could have been a top 5 PG ever.

Russ and Melo plays trash defense off the ball, both in the half court and in transition. They're also the same players crashing into each other on pickn'rolls, players who never could rely on smarts within a team offense.

There are way too many flaws with Westbrook, a 44 million point guard who also can't shoot a floater and isn't respected as a 3pt shooter.

I used to find it entertaining watching Kobe embarrass Russ by guarding him only from the free throw line and in, now I'm supposed to sit and root for him along with Carmelo "jab jab shoot" Anthony.. It's a rough year for Laker fans..

Rubio, Hield, Caruso and THT would have been a nice back court rotation for this team instead.
The total price of those equals that of Wesbrook, Nunn and THT.

This is one of the most unlikeable Laker teams I've ever seen.

Westbrook even playing well is still Westbrook(can’t spread the floor etc..) and having him and melo in at the same time and playing a lot together anything they do offensively will be nagated with how poor they are defensively…
