To me, that freeway looks pretty dark, so it's natural that you cannot see these cars until you're right up on them.

Even if you do not see the cars you can see the guy with the spotlight hundreds of yards ahead. That should be a clue something is up but some people defiantly refuse to take warnings and red flags into account until it's too late to act.

Damn. You're right...dark as hell. That and speed cause this scary scene. Road flares could've helped the situation, but frankly I don't know many people that carry them.

the first impression i formed when i first hopped into a california highway was, why is everyone in such a rush? everyone is driving 90mph+. i've driven in other freeways and never experienced what i did in california.

Damn, always rough to watch. I've been in too many car crashes myself, also had a scare in LA once, almost getting t-boned in the passager side of a taxi.
The shit hurts and it sucks when it's usually the fault of someone else not paying attention.

The description says that the guy filming was doing everything he could to try and alarm incomming traffic, I can appreciate him using his spotlight, but it's not the greatest move to use hazard lights in the side of the road while being next to the crash. Some people might look to the right for a second because of it, in a moment where they'd be much better served looking straight ahead.

Yeah it's crazy here. I've driven freeways in Arizona where there are speed cameras. Florida and Texas were slower too than here in CA.

Cali is full of people with very low IQ, and bad drivers. Combine that with people who don't develop the same situational driving awareness as states with poor weather because of their beautiful climate and this is what you get. Cali tops almost every worst drivers list

I saw that yesterday.....

The amount of questions I have. Does the trucker know? Does the driver recording call the police? Is the driver just having a good time? So many questions. :oldlol:
