While the Blazers players had not fully received the "Jail Blazers" reputation yet, I could actually see Rasheed and Bonzi fighting a 37 year old MJ who would be trying to impose his "tough nosed" type of leadership on them. Plus, that team's offense was based on balanced scoring. MJ's approach to scoring would probably not have gelled with some of the players possible forcing somebody to get traded mid season.


Edit: Just read the title... You said 35 year old MJ and not 37 year old. Some of the stuff that I mentioned still remains the same, but I do believe that 35 year old MJ may have been good enough to overcome those chemistry issues.

You forgot that MJ's style is not ball dominant that would disrupt the team chemistry. He played with a system (Triangle) that is well known for it's balanced offensive sets. Him winning every scoring title every is just icing on the cake. Plus MJ is well accustomed to big egos (Rodman) and i highly doubt someone like Sheed & Bonzi would dare to ruffle feathers with MJ,
