Closest thing to that I'm hearing is the people are bailing on Kamala because she could be on her way out and replaced by Buttigieg, putting him in position to run in 2024 against Trump. Dems really wanted to have a Black female candidate in 2024 to run against Trump, but no one can stand Kamala apparently, even her own staff. So the next best thing is a gay man on the ticket. Honestly, since it would be a first, I can see where a guy like Pete can get momentum and get votes. the donors love pete - he's a good little boy. not only does he follow orders to a t, but like you said - he's gay so he can play the sexuality card. in addition to that, he has a obama-esque way of putting democratic talking points into poetic motion to get people excited and emotional. in other words, like barack, he's a suave con-man.
