"Curry now has 10 free throws in his last 174 minutes of game action."
One can tell the league is out to get him. In the future basketball historian analysts will be gobsmacked at how the league went to extremes to nerf him.
You know all those rules that supposedly helped Curry? They weren't there to help Curry. They were there to prop up other guards so that Curry wouldn't make them look too bad.

curry averaged more fta last season than legoat in his historic 2020 season ending in a championship. so that would be a no because lebron is.

That's exactly why he sucks
He spams 3's against soft defenses in the regular season like the skinny kid at the Y who can't drive or do anything else
He sucks man

In a 5 game stretch from 10/28 to 11/7 Curry played 160 minutes and shot 11 FT's, so let's not act like this is some huge aberration.
And no, the guy who's a soon to be 3x MVP, including the only unanimous one in league history, is far from the most disrespected superstar ever.

It's probably Westbrook, if you ever considered him a superstar at any point of his career. Not saying whether he deserves it or not, but he's definitely the most disrespected.

So true. His effectiveness as a renowned scorer really shrinks in the playoffs because defenses there get brutal than they do in the rs.

He's just telling the truth, gohan.

Free throw numbers without evidence of them being wrong are useless. Especially for one of the only people in history who could take 20 threes and have nobody be surprised. You don’t just get free throws for existing. Even the ft whores make it happen through their evil tactics. It isn’t just a matter of minutes.

Among all players who have averaged 20+ ppg in their career and who have played more than one season that would be the lowest ever last I looked.

You are ignoring kblaze point. Curry is firing jumpers. Shooters don't get fouled as much as slashers. You didn't post a montage of fouls being ignored you are just posting that he shoots less free throws. So?

And even without looking im positive he takes more threes a game than anyone in history. I know he takes more for his career than Harden or Dame and nobody before this era is even worth checking to see if they are close those those 3.
I don’t even think there are 5 points who averaged above 20 for their careers. You’re comparing him to a gang of forwards and bigs who almost exclusively lived in the paint the last 75 years. You can’t believe you’re making any kind of good point.

Having actually checked 58 of the 72 people fitting his criteria are either frontcourt players or played some portion of their careers in the 70s and 80s. But we compare foul calls to a guy who takes more threes a game than a good half that list took in a normal season.

Curry is quite possibly the GOAT basketball player. Even MJ used to drive the lane and throw himself into guys for double digit free throws. Chef just plays pure, clean basketball. GOAT skill and dynasty anchoring ability. Ill even admit I was a little skeptical how he'd do on crappy teams like last year, but he showed he can do it no matter the cast. League doesn't like him because of LeBron grudge against him getting shown up by some, light skinned tiny preppy kid. :oldlol: probably has gotten clowned by his homies for that.

People talk about him being a shooter. Reggie was a shooter. Harden is a shooter. Durant is a shooter. Etc. There's a million examples and they all got way more FTs. Chef simply doesn't play the flopping game. He plays to get buckets in real time and that's it. His game is purely honest.

Steph takes not twice….but three times as many threes as Reggie in his peak scoring years. He takes almost 3 times as many as Durant does this season. Harden took threes like Steph but he was the most evil barely trying to score foul whore who ever lived. There really are very few comps as far as how far away from the basket he attempts to score compared to other guards who scored a lot in history. It’s been 9 years since he took double digit shots in the paint. Go look at Kyries shots inside the line. Even Dame at times. He stopped taking those shots the very year he became a superstar.
Its obviously an effective way to play. It also obviously isn’t gonna get as much contact as other little guys who lived off driving.
Complaining about Steph not taking free throws when his unbelievably effective approach limits it is like complaining about Dikembe Mutombo not getting more steals. Trying would only reduce his already effective style of play.
Free throws are not just granted as a right of being a star. Even if refs are more prone to call it in their favor stars get calls when they do the things that give the ref a chance. Abusing someone off the ball for an open three…or shaking their souls out of their body and hitting a 29 footer off the dribble? Not traditionally something that leads to free throws.
He tries to make threes. He doesn’t jump forward into you all day and just hope the shot also goes in like Harden made a living doing.
Nothing about his game should create a lot of free throws so he doesn’t take a lot. It’s exactly what should be expected.

Curry could easily play the foul baiting game more. He simply doesn't play it. You talk about Harden, but Durant abused that rip through move so much they literally had to make a league wide rule over it that it wouldn't be FTs but out of bounds possession.
And that's not mentioning the fact that the NBA lets teams maul him off ball in the playoffs, yet on ball stars can't be touched. (and are allowed to run people over)

Yet he doesnt(no more than normal players at least). So he takes less.
What are we even talking about? He doesn’t play a game that creates a lot of fouls and doesn’t seem to create many from thin air. So he takes few free throws.
If everyone agrees with that what is even in dispute?

Reggie kicked his legs out to make contact and got many FTA unti they made a league wide rule over it
90% of the time Curry shoots a contested 3... he falls down untouched looking for the call.

He did have a bad run with that I noticed at one point but there was a while that whole generation of guards who got it from Jamal Crawford were out of hand.

Oddly enough although I hate floppers, harden actually impressed me at times. He basically invented a martial arts system of flopping. Guys knew what he wanted to do, he did it anyway, and they still got caught in the triangle. :oldlol: play after play.
It takes a genius to trick pros who know what you want to do, and you do it almost every time.
