UPenn transgender swimmer continues dominant season with more record-breaking wins

A 22-year old transgender swimmer at the University of Pennsylvania continued her dominant performance this season — setting numerous pool, meet and program records at a three-day event in Ohio last weekend.

Lia Thomas blew away her competition Friday night in the 500-yard freestyle preliminaries and finals at the Zippy Invitational at the University of Akron, according to results posted by the school.

In the finals, Thomas notched a winning time of 4:34.06 — good enough for a new Ivy League record.

The swimmer continued smashing records on Saturday with a nearly 7-second victory in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:41.93 — representing the fastest finish in the country, the school said.

Over the weekend, Thomas also set a new program, meet and pool record in the 1650-yard freestyle. She finished that race in 15:59.71 — more than 38 seconds ahead of second-place finisher, and teammate, Anna Kalandadze.

Before her transition, Thomas competed for two full seasons at Penn as a man. NCAA rules mandate at least one year of testosterone suppression treatment to be eligible to compete as a woman.

“(Swimming) is a huge part of my life and who I am. I’ve been a swimmer since I was 5 years old,” Thomas told Penn Today last June.

“Being trans has not affected my ability to do this sport and being able to continue is very rewarding.”

Imagine any women in your family holding or striving for records or pursuing high achievement in women's sports. Imagine this is their passion. Now imagine how they feel competing against and having records stolen from their group by people with bodies born as and once fully formed as male.

Make a category for gender fluid or trans or whatever title they want it to have and let them compete that way. Because of course all people deserve to compete and I have no objection to that but you can't ignore biology and bodies that started as or formed as males with sh*t loads of testosterone and whatever else is going to be giving them advantages. They should not be gladly competing against women especially at the extreme ends of a sport - imagine a Trans pro boxer fighting a woman or a Trans sprinter. This is the biggest disservice to women passionate about sports right now. Women's sports will suffer and have already began suffering from this trend. If I have a daughter and the world of Women's sports is still on these rails I'm going to be pissed, this needs to change.

Most people would be happy to be employed at that point, so if you're a wnba player who knows the nba is going to keep supporting you why not push the boundaries and see how much they're willing to up salaries. I think he would do pretty damn well. When I was a young man playing pickup games at the gym every day, there would often be some guys in their 50s-60s playing and they were almost always sneaky good. When you have been playing for ~50 years your game gets pretty polished and you learn all kinds of crafty tricks. Also old man strength is no joke.

Great clip from a Liberal Feminist. The country and our government needs to wake up and stop giving in to these few psychopaths who seem to be able to modify our language and our reality so easily. And that's frightening in its own right that so little few have so much power.

There has to be something else said when it is an overwhelmingly majority of MEN who are the ones changing their gender and having sex changes. The science should tell you that if a majority of one sex is feeling a different way about who they are, then there has to be a chemical imbalance that must be identified and addressed. Otherwise, you would have an equal amount of women wanting to be men.

The problem is, as is with most things, is that transgenderism is profitable. It's profitable for the medical community, it's profitable for the media and networks who cover it and create reality shows about it, and it's profitable for the actual person who changes their gender. They get exposure, they get sympathy, they get book deals, they win medals, etc. We are selling out common sense, morality, and yes indeed SCIENCE for the almighty dollar.
