We know Pippen played an important part in Bulls dynasty but it's shocking how important he was.

For example, in '96 playoff

MJ had more than Pippen:

Rebound 17% of the games
Assist 22% of the games
Steal 17% of the games
Block 17% of the games
TO 44% of the games
Foul 39% of the games
Point 95% of the games

Meanwhile,

Pippen had more than MJ:

Rebound 59% of the games
Assist 59% of the games
Steal 45% of the games
Block 36% of the games
TO 23% of the games
Foul 36% of the games
Point 5% of the games

No wonder Pippen feel so bitter these days.

Only blind Jordan stans refuse to recognize the indisputable, empirically-backed FACT that Scottie Pippen was objectively better than Jordan at every single solitary aspect of the game of basketball aside from scoring.

One of the biggest factors about Pippen that gets left out of the conversation is that Pippen was the jack of all trades that allowed MJ to preserve his energy.

MJ didn't have to run the offense or dominate the boards, which really helped him late in games and in the postseason, since he consistently played 82 games and almost 40 minutes a night, even in the second three peat.

Chicago just had a perfect balance that few teams have been able to achieve in history, and Pippen was a tremendous part of that.

That’s why I consider Lebron one of the greatest, he does everything Pippen does then scores as much as Mike. Jordan always needed someone to handle the less glamorous duties for him, and couldn’t even make the playoffs without defensive Hall of Famers

“I may go as far to say Mike ruined basketball,” Pippen wrote. “In the 80s on the playgrounds you’d have everyone moving the ball around — passing to help the team. That stopped in the 90s. Kids wanted to be ‘Like Mike.’ Well, Mike didn’t want to pass — didn’t want to rebound, or defend the best player. He wanted everything done for him. That’s why I always believed LeBron James was the greatest player this game has ever seen — he does everything and embodies what the game is truly about.”

Listening to you hacks one would think Pippen is number 2 all-time behind Lebron. Living and playing in that era no one felt Pippen was anywhere near as good as Jordan, and he wasn't.

Let me put it this way, if Pippen was so good why didn't he ever win a league or Finals MVP?

Listening to you, you'd swear that Pippen was a worse player than Kyrie, Love, Bosh and a 15.9 playoff ppg averaging Wade.

Pippen was not better than Wade, but he was better than Kyrie, Love, and Bosh.

Those aren’t near as valuable as what Mike brought to the table. And Scottie was putrid offensively the entire second three peat.

the only way Jordan's ring quality could be reduced to Lebron's best ring (2016), is if Pippen went to the Finals and destroyed MVP Barkley or Malone, like Kyrie did Curry... But Pippen was the opposite of that - he averaged 19.0 on 42% in 6 Finals with lows of 15.7 (twice) and highs of 21/7

So there's zero basis to say Pippen was better than any of those guys - their peak performance was always far superior.

Not to mention elite shooters (Paxson, Kerr), defensive beasts (Rodman, Harper) and quality role players plus a coach who designed a system for a scoring wing to thrive. And a GM who bought it all for cheap. It was a perfect storm.
