Even at 50 it wouldnt be close. 60 is starting to push it, tho if I had to wager I’d bet on him still being all star level. Longer arms, more muscle, more toughness... he would just be too much for them around the basket. He wouldnt be able to get up and down in transition very well Id imagine, but in the half court hes likely still too rough and tumble for “ciswomen” to deal with.

He'd automatically be one of the tallest players, and could probably jump higher than any of them. Would be stronger too. Stamina would be an issue, you couldn't throw him out there for 35 minutes a game, but if you gave him 15 minutes a game and picked his spots, he could be very effective.

A team of middle aged office managers who run ball three times a week at the Y would probably serve a WNBA team easy. It’s not because WNBA arent skilled. It’s just the physical difference is too overwhelming. Old guys at the gym can sometimes even give talented male youngsters trouble with the old man strength and cunning.

Any man who is competently coordinated and experienced at basketball is gonna have an advantage over women until he’s very immobile. It would all just depend on how mobile Rod is at this age.

That's not a typical 60 year old man though. That's an elite athlete, who was still dominating in rebounding and defense at 38 at the highest level. As for what he might be able to do, just take the example of tennis player Bobby Riggs, who dominated the ranked #1 female at the time at the age of 55 and, despite later losing to the #3 (in a match that many still call rigged), he didn't exactly get crashed (total score was 18-10). And that's tennis, which is less physical and involves more running than basketball. In no other field do men enjoy a bigger advantage than something that involves lots of strength and physicality and big, tall people are at an advantage. Even a 60 y.o Rodman should be completely rusty not to dominate WNBA players, at least at the fields he was always good.

Tennis and golf are not contact sports. Basketball you can dominate simply by being physically superior.

I realize many WNBA players are highly skilled, so it isnt a knock on them. Men just have stronger legs, longer arms, better coordination. If a guy is good at ball even just by rec league standards, he will mash pro women. Thats all there is to it.

I'm sure there's a few rare physical freaks who are still fairly athletic at 60 who could hang but in general most 60 year olds are too slow and busted up to hang with professional female athletes in their prime. If were were talking a half court 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 where the old men wouldn't have to run as much i'd say they could hang but in a full court up and down game where speed agility and endurance plays a huge factor i just don't see it. They'd run circles around them old muthafukas.

It all depends on where rodman is physically. People decline at greatly varied rates. Some dudes are still beasts at 60, some are already very frail. Rodman looks like he’s still pretty fit, and he wasnt just any dude to begin with.

If he still has a high motor I dont see why he wouldnt dominate the paint. He’d comfortably break every rebounding and blocked shot record. Again assuming he’s still fit and physically healthy for 60.

Obviously we cant know for sure one way or another. But thats my feeling.
