This is a nice treat to binge some episodes on New Year's Eve. Season 5 is either fully into production or nearing it's end. Show creators plan more seasons after season 5. For purely nostalgic reasons, Karate Kid is my favorite all time movie. I'm all geeked out!

I never get tired of hearing that song. I play it while driving or working out. Great montage to that song....too bad we didn't get to see more of the Daniel vs Dutch fight in the movie. Chad McQueen, son of Steve McQueen, didn't want to reprise his role for Cobra Kai...too much into his racing business.

So watching that trailer got me thinking about the show going forward. Since they are bringing back old characters, perhaps to keep the show fresh, they should do a crossover with other martial arts stars or characters from the 80's and 90's. Maybe get Van Damme on the show in some capacity, Steven Seagal, Chuck Norris, Eric Roberts, etc.

Glad to see the arc of the story centering around Kreese being a father figure and righting the wrongs for Johnny, and Johnny being a father figure and righting the wrongs for both Miguel and Robby. And I have a feeling Daniel is going to be the one to come to the defense of Kreese next season which patches up that relationship.


We may have a Terry Silver vs Johnny Lawrence fight at the end of Season 5 for control over Cobra Kai.

Setting aside that every single adult in this show is the worst role model for teenage children that's ever existed, I'm particularly done with the Larusso's. I don't know that I've ever hated a television family this much. I want Kenny, Hawk, and Tory to just lay waste to all of them.
