View Full Version : What if Lebron's 9 seeds from 04', 05' & 19' were 8 seeds vs 04' DET and 19' GSW?

Remember that KD played in the 2019 1st Round and averaged 35/5/5..

And also the veteran 06' Cavs (high seed) lost to a much lesser Detroit team than the rookie 8-seeded Cavs would face in 04' and 05'.

If someone's game is so weak that they avoid contested jumpers, then they can't be goat - no one that lacks elite jumpshooting skill can be goat - it's a primary tenet of the game and it affects so many things (ball movement, team ceiling, help needed to win/teammate fit).

Furthermore, Lebron had several playoff runs with equal-scoring partners to attract equal-defensive attention, so he didn't face maximum defensive attention - any period without maximum defensive attention is inflated stats compared to Jordan, who carried the scoring load in every SERIES, let alone playoff run..

Since Lebron has inflated production rate/stats compared to Jordan - yet still has inferior stats - he's clearly inferior to Jordan while also having inferior ring count, accolade and clutch or game impact (turning a big man's game into a perimeter player's game)

You have 8 alts because the voting is 8-0 and you're the only voter

It's a shame that Lebron wasn't good enough to carry a lottery cast (team that was lottery the prior year) to low playoff seeds in 04', 05', or 19', because then he'd have more career playoff points

Lebron failed to carry lottery teams (teams that were lottery the prior year) to low playoff seeds in 04', 05' and 19', so he never had to carry his worst teams in the playoffs like Jordan.

Lebron infact got 3 years to develop his team into a high seed before entering the 06' Playoffs, while Jordan was thrown into playoffs in Year 1 as a low seed and had to carry his worst teams in the playoffs.

But when Jordan had 3 healthy years to develop his team (88'), he made the 2nd Round just like 06' Lebron.. The difference was that Lebron had the East all-star center and a veteran high seed in a conference that 1-star teams were winning, while Jordan had rookie low seeds in a conference that required a super-team to win.

05 Kobe failed to take the huge Finals favorite from the year before to the playoffs.
