Hey losing to a 5’7 regular guy in year 19 isn’t that embarrassing, after all it was common practice back then for coaches to use a smaller defender that could stay with Jordan laterally :oldlol: you could say Jordan bear guys like this his whole career

5 of those 30 pt games came in his last 7 played.
“I’ve been in a good rhythm. Just trying to stay in that rhythm,” said LeBron in his postgame interview. “I’m starting to get a lot healthier as the season goes on, especially with my low ab and my groin. That’s been feeling a lot better as of the last couple weeks.”
LeBron James over the last 7 Games:
39 PTS, 6 AST, 5 REB
30 PTS, 11 AST, 7 REB
33 PTS, 9 AST, 5 REB
23 PTS, 6 AST, 11 REB
30 PTS, 5 AST, 4 REB

He's working real hard to reach Kareem's record.
However, this confirms that he won't have another gear to reach in the playoffs - this is similar to last year, where he was even getting MVP consideration early-on, but then was underwhelming in the higher-level playoffs.. old gonna old

is he going to come back two games before the playoffs start out of shape because he was out two months with a high ankle sprain again?

Lebron is the only guy in history that got to use an ankle sprain as an excuse
Do you know how many games and series that MJ/Kobe went off on severe ankle sprains?
Your guy is simply a fraud and everything you guys say demonstrates it

We get it, he puts his own stats ahead of his team...thats why his finals record is so embarrassing
He also learned the art of stat padding...no one is impressed with empty stats.
Its hilarious that you guys actually think empty stats are impressive

michael thomas was the offensive player of the yr in 2019. had a high ankle sprain first gm of 2020...missed 7 weeks (6 games). returned and had 0 tds for the rest of the season. went from averaging 108 ypg to 60. 9 tds to 0.

a high ankle sprain can take longer than a break to heal depending on how bad it is. lebron clearly wasn't ready as he tried to come back with two weeks left in the reg season and had to sit again. then there was no time left and he was forced to play.

gtfo - i just looked it up and Lebron missed 26 games with that high ankle sprain, which is 24 more than Kobe missed after he injured it in Game 2 of the 2000 NBA Finals - he came back in Game 4 and won it single-handedly in OT.
So Lebron has already healed the ankle and it was just used as an excuse to explain his horrible 1st Round loss with bad stats... Expect the same drop-off in this year's playoffs from his current "full bore" mode to catch Kareem

The point is that Lebron had already missed 26 games with it and was back in action - no one has ever used any kind of ankle sprain as an excuse in this spot - it's literally blamed as the only reason for him playing like trash.. what's the excuse gonna be this year?... I'm sure you guys will find something

let's also pretend we haven't seen lebron sprain his ankle numerous times, tie his shoe and continue playing. you clearly can't do that with a high ankle sprain. different ligaments affected. far longer time to heal.
What is the recovery time for a high ankle sprain?
High ankle sprain recovery time varies. Some people are able to return to their sports within six weeks, but about 50% will experience symptoms for as much as six months.

It isn't a major injury that others haven't averaged 30+ on with good efficiency.. If he's being compared to the GOAT, then this standard is simply insufficient.

Lebron played with Shaq who won league mvp and 3 finals mvp's and lost in round 2. Lebron played with Peak Duncan who had won 2 league mvp's and 3 finals mvp's and won bronze medal. Lebron played with Peak Wade who won finals mvp and got outplayed by Jason Terry. Lebron played with Derrick Rose who won mvp under age 30 which was the same as Kevin Durant who won mvp under 30 while both were on Golden State and Cleveland. Lebron played with mulitple PER leaders as well and now Russell Westbrook a league mvp winner and more triple doubles than Oscar Robertson. Yet despite all of that Lebron lost with all of them.

Lebron James did not have a grade 3 high ankle sprain like micheal thomas. Micheal Thomas completly rumptured (tore) the muscle connecting to his tibia/fibia.
Cordell Patterson returned from the same grade high ankle sprain that Lebron had in 2 weeks, granted his is younger than Lebron but MT is a bad comparison.
