They also had the absolute worst defense in the league before he was out. Now it's all the way up to 18th. Not a great look for Ja.

Deaaron fox has similar cancerous effects on the kings I would say.

He is also their best player according to advanced stats. Not a good look for advanced stats.

Which advanced stats?

His on/off is terrible.

Box score stats maybe. Like Tontoz said his impact stats are bad.

This isn't real analysis. This is noticing a random trend. It is possible that Morant is an atrocious bad defender but it's also possible that the team as a whole needed to do a few things better and just executed the game plan better. Also possible that they had a few players that weren't optimized that are now producing better. Morant has a long list of talents and skills important to a ballplayer. It's not enough to see some short trend and figure it proves the team is far better without him.

Last season Morant ranked 28th among pgs in RPM.

Those are based on box scores they are not impact stats.

League is only allowing Memphis to do well because Morant is on the team. Take him off the team and league would make sure they didn't win many games.

You see this all the time. A team loses its star to injury or covid protocol and league lets them continue to win games because they know star will eventually return. Think of those Yao/McGrady Rockets ream that won 22 straight games.

Still waiting for him to be at the level of prime Chris Paul, like Bronbron23 said.

He also said Trae would top Paul and Westbrook too.
