Since Shaq got traded in 2004 (officially brands him a “cancer”) then that negates Jordan’s ‘96 title. Ditto ‘93 since Barkley was traded too.

only casuals think westbrook is getting traded. lakers desperately needed a second playmaker last yr. they have one now.

I'm still putting the largest share of the blame for Lakers mediocrity this season squarely on AD. He was billed as a top 5 player, but the only time we see him perform to that level is when Lebron plays. Westbrook hasn't performed, but it's unfair to scapegoat him because AD hasn't shouldered the load he was brought in for.

no one said Shaq was a cancer especially after he 3-peated.. Otoh, people refer to Westbrook as a cancer, so there's something to confirm by Lebron trading him.

Former New Jersey Nets All-Star forward Jayson Williams recently spoke with Vice Sports to share a few stories about the NBA in the ’90s.

Williams played in the NBA for nine years, spending two of them playing for the Philadelphia 76ers.

One of the stories he highlighted was about former teammate Charles Barkley.

Everyone knows Barkley from the NBA on TNT, which airs on Thursday nights during the NBA regular season and throughout the playoffs. Barkley is known for not holding his tongue, and is he very opinionated. Chuck’s in the Hall of Fame, but he never won a championship during his time in the league.

Williams recalls in his interview that Barkley wasn’t a very good teammate. He says Barkley was one of the worst guys to be around as a rookie because he had so many bad habits.

According to Williams, Allen Iverson wasn’t the only Sixer who hated practice, because Barkley was the laziest teammate he ever had.

He was always late to practice, and even came in eating McDonalds on numerous occasions. He would ride an exercise bike while watching teammates practice, screaming profanities at them.

Williams says he saw Barkley practice three times in the two years he played in Philadelphia.

lewhelp, looks like mj's 93 ring doesn't count.

If a 35-year Lebron brought AD to Los Angeles to lead the whole league in playoff scoring and carry the Lakers to the 20' Finals while dominating the league MVP Jokic (21' MVP) - then isn't that further proof that Lebron needs a lot more help than 35-year Jordan in 1998, when Rodman wasn't even the starter in those playoffs and Pippen averaged 16 on 40% in the ECF and Finals.

a wnba team could score more than 54 points in a 48 mins finals gm. that was mj's competition.

Lebron never carried the scoring load in the Finals so he never defeated max defensive attention, while MJ did it in every series of his career.. that means Lebron's stats are inflated compared to MJ's tougher road to good stats (through max defensive attention).

Kemp was nearly a championship 1st option (nearly won FMVP from 96' MJ) despite barely scratching his potential, while Pippen was a lesser talent that maxed his potential and accolade by playing alongside the GOAT.

You're mad that he isn't carrying Lebron to the title even though he's still their biggest producer (leading the Lakers in PER, WS/48, VORP)

That should be more than enough help for any star, but Lebron-ball (westbrooking) has proven to need some of the most help ever (super-team help or AD to play like Kareem/peak Duncan by carrying the Lakers to Finals)

Yo, what's funnier to me is that people on here go as deep into being b ball fans that they brand each other into "casuals" and the real nerds of ball knowledge :lol The second is how many of yall haters are just obsessed w/ Lebron, and how much time/energy you all spend on tryna prove that he's not a all time great, if not THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME, but you cornballs try so so hard to make him seem like just a "casual" NBA player... but top 2 out the 4 hottest discussions currently on this forum have the title Lebron in 'em tho..says all :lol
