He's as fat as Harden. FACT!
He's not fast enough. FACT!
He can't play D. FACT!
He's not a 3pt threat. FACT!

He's not an MVP candidate anymore and the MAVS are underperforming!

What say you?
Your thoughts...your thoughts...

Dallas have been WAY better with him off the floor this season

He's slightly overrated imo but he's still a top 20 player

All are either not the clear 1st option or not versatile enough. LeBron is the total package

Many players can play like MJ not many can play like LeBron

only kobe came close to MJ though while Westbrook averaged a triple double 4 times and made it look easy. and he also proved it doesn't even help and actually hurts the team playing that way

The cornballs are going into talking bout Bron again even tho the topic is about Doncic... and the 1st post on a Luka topic is "Many players can play like MJ not many can play like LeBron" :facepalm:facepalm:lol

Is this for real? This message board was lit back in day.. the fk happaned here, bunch of Lebron hatters and Lebron nutt hoppers arguing non-stop with the main sub discussion LBJ vs Kobe vs MJ, while the Lebron nutt hoppers vs Lebron hatters being the undisputed 1st tho...
Holy shit, feel like bunch of teenagers arguing on here on and on...

A little but he's pretty good for a guy that doesn't seem very athletic. He's very crafty. I think he wants to do too much though. It's probably not going to work unless he stops trying to create every single ****ing play. I would probably hate to be on his team tbh. Also, he is clearly a stat padder and his 3 point chucking sucks. No one is claiming he's the goat or anything though.

He was ****ing great against the clippers last year. If Mavs make the playoffs, they are trouble for anyone.

Hes a 22 year old carrying an average team.

Hes fine and will be HOF when all is said and done

What's he supposed to do?
Go pull a bron and collude with giannis and jokic?

I don't think anyone considers him a MVP candidate this season. He has gotten off to a slow start, like a lot of guys. But that doesn't mean he isn't a great player. He is averaging 25/8/8.

He needs to get in shape and stop spamming so many 3s to reach his potential. He isn't a good enough shooter to be taking so many tough 3s. Inside the arc he is elite, shooting 55% for his career.

I hate the way the mavs play and luka is kinda chunky but he's probly the 2nd or 3rd most skilled offensive player in the nba

Without moderation, everyone reverted to their most base form. Freedom always results in chaos given enough time.

Awful defensively, not effecient, takes awful shots at times, and he monopolizes the ball too much. Can't play off-ball at all.

Of course Luka is overrated, the media has built him up so much, already crowning him the best of the best before he has accomplished anything it's difficult for anybody to meet those expectations.
He is a very good young player, who still has alot of things to work on. He is only 22 so he has plenty of time to grow into the player the media has already claimed he is.

Never played defense despite being 6’7 and weighing as much as most 90s PFs/Cs. Monopolizes the ball collecting gaudy stats but teams never win anything. Peaked in his second year, Luka is definitely overrated the way Dennis Rodman thought Bird was.

He may weigh 258-264
He is best in the regular season around 240
Best in playoffs between 245-250

When he is around 225-230 he cannot use his weight & handles as much to EASILY bully his defender OUT of the possession off a pick and roll. Luka Posts up backwards at the 3pt line from a pick n roll.

READ THAT AGAIN.
Luka posts up in inverse.
From outside in.
And he’s got a big wide body you cannot wrestle around or fight thru.

As slow as he is, his combination of elite PG handles, magic Johnson playmaking, streaky but deadly step back 3, and insane “REVERSE POST UP” out of a pick and roll, makes him an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses.

Name a player in basketball history with a better “Reverse outside-in post up” off the pick and roll. Luka’s size and handles turn nearly every offensive possession into a structural, half-court 5-on-4 drill.

Defensively the Mavs have been a much much better team with him off the court this year, which is a sign his conditioning is affecting the team's performance.

I do not think Luka is overrated though. He's special with the ball & he shows up in big moments. That game winner he hit over the clippers in the bubble was absolutely spectacular.

Yes, he's not had an All NBA start to the season..... but I think he'll turn the corner soon & we'll stop having these conversations in a month or so
