Zion is FAT. You cannot build around him because you cant even GET around him. He doesnt make sense for a team like the Pelicans.
The Lakers can afford to take a flyer bc they already have the leading MVP candidate in Lebron James. That takes the pressure off Zion and allows him to get into shape without the pressure of having to be some savior.
Pelicans get a HOF point guard still just in his early 30s, plus an elite prospect with tremendous potential. Lakers could include cash and a pick in the deal if absolutely necessary.
It just makes way too much sense for both teams. Pels need to not **** up and blow this chance. And if they do, the league needs to step in and secure the trade on their behalf.
