You think it's a coincidence the biggest soyboys on the site all happen to support the more authoritarian end of the spectrum right now? Regulation/authority always in theory favors the weak. Which is why they agree to it. In the end it gets used against them, gradually. But the alternative is just losing obviously, and outright. So it's the frying pan or the fire for them.

I am a liberal and:

-I am not a fan of mandates. However I have no issue with feds mandating federal workers to get vaccinated and wear mask. Federal government has jurisdiction over federal employees & federal contractors. State government has jurisdiction over state employees. County government has jurisdiction over county employees. Private companies have jurisdiction over private employees. They should each have autonomy over their own jurisdiction when it comes to vaccines/masks. Not my call to get in-between jurisdictions.
-I am opposed to cancel culture. It's all about evidence to prove some way over-the-top behavior. If you can't prove it or don't have multiple witnesses to attest to it, then you have to back off.
-I believe in free-speech, which is protected between citizens and the government. No government can or should prevent people from speaking their mind & expressing themselves. I don't respect hate speech, but I would fight to the death to defend someone's right to hate speech even if I hate the bastard & everything he stands for

Anyways, that case didn't prove he was innocent. Our system does not decide between guilty and innocent. Our system decides between guilty and not guilty because the burden is to prove guilt rather than to prove innocent. Not guilty for any case does not prove innocent. There is a very big difference there between not guilty and innocent.
