View Full Version : Fvck it. As a Laker fan, I think it’s time to trade Bron. Blake Griffin, anyone?

Look, I wish Lebron the best. But he’s too old at this point and the Lakers need to think about the future. We need to scale down on salary and get younger. Blake would achieve both of these. I know he’s struggled recently but thats because he misses being home in Los Angeles. Putting him in purple and gold would allow him to thrive again, especially alongside AD, who is definitely mentally and physically tough enough to play the 5. Also, THT is a beast and it would be stupid to waste his prime by being bogged down by Lebron’s farewell stage of his career.
For the sake of Laker Nation, it’s best we flip Lebron for someone like Blake Griffin or maybe Andrew Wiggins.
Get it done, Rob. On behalf of Laker Nation.

What are you talking about, you clown? Trading LBJ? I'll beat your ass up if you ever repeat that again.

I agree with this. I dont think its wise to build around lebron at this age. The whole league has caught on to Bronball and they all know how to beat it. You arent going to change bron. Bron should focus on being a scorer the rest of his career. The offense should not go through him. Cleveland is doing well post bronball. Lakers need a young team. The era of team stacking has gone stale.

There honestly is no near future young talent they could get for Bron. 50 year old Bron is still better than any scrub prospect they might shore up. Bron is a given and known asset. LeBron is money. Money James.

Yeah but I just feel like trading Lebron to the Nets would be the best thing for our Lakers. We have to put our team first and do what’s best for the whole organization.

Oh you want to put Lebron on GS or Brooklyn...clever.
Frankly I think if you trade Westbrook for Ben Simmons you would be back in contention.

Not necessarily, no. Maybe, but not necessarily.
Team dynamics can't be accounted for and they're a lot more complex and nuanced than any sub par intellect on this board will ever give them credit for. It's something you sometimes can't even know at all until the players step on the court together.
Let's say that players are rated from 1 to 5. 5 + 5 does not always yield the most optimal result. Sometimes 3 + 5 > 5 + 5 or 4 + 5 > 5 + 5. You just can't know for sure without putting them on the court.
Wilt Chamberlain knew this and that's why he admitted that Bill Russell was the best center ever, even ahead of himself, despite the fact that Chamberlain was a much superior individual player.
LeBron James is miles ahead of Draymond Green, but is LeBron better for that team? Given their personnel and their play style? Not necessarily. In fact, maybe not at all.
Basketball is a team sport. It's 5 on 5. It's not 1v5 or 1v1 despite the fact that a plethora of retards on this board try to make it so. It just isn't so. It's a team game, and team dynamics can't be accounted for.

Seeeeeee, even Lebum's hardcore fans know that he has no claim for anything coming close to GOAT status with 4/10 -86. They're desperate for him to get more rings quick, knowing that he's in the twilight of his career.
And LOL at OP pretending to care about the Lakers. He only cares about his man crush getting another ring.
