I agree, in game dunks are much more exciting. I never liked acrobatic or extreme sports either.

Because circus shots aren't that impressive. They can be practiced over time in general. Game dunks are better.

Usually it is the player too that makes dunks impressive. VC for instance can make regular dunks look nice.

While the dunk is insanely incredible, the lack of amazement is essentially the result of being oversaturated with videos like this. It's not JUST because it's and exhibition event or not in game. Stuff like this pops up in my social media timelines everyday. The luster from seeing sick dunks like this has simply waned.

A simple chest to chest ingame dunk over a star defender is far more impressive because it's rare and improvised.
