LeBron holding back a budding star

people don't realize that peak Mo Williams (0.165 WS/48) = baseball Jordan.. That's how much MJ had fallen off - only the advanced stats reflect this.

So peak Mo Williams was actually not bad and worth 21 more wins, just like baseball Jordan.. The problem is the playoffs, where Mo fell to Pippen-level, and neither Lebron or baseball Jordan were good enough to carry them.

Otoh, Jordan would normally carry a bed-wetting Pippen against the top teams.. Jordan beat top 5 SRS teams with poor scoring and efficiency from a sidekick, while Lebron never has (like the 09' ECF).

Lebron can't have carry jobs against the top teams because his high scoring is too ball-dominant to beat the best teams and reduces teammates to spot-up shooter, while Jordan's high-scoring is partially-assisted, thereby elevating teammates and promoting ball movement/high team assists.. The latter has higher team ceilings/Finals records and wins a lot more with a lot less (superior strategy requires less supporting talent).

Kemp averaged 20/10 on 70% against Malone

Kemp carried Zydrunas further than Lebron carried all-star Zydrunas

* Kemp led Zydrunas to 47 wins and the playoffs in 98', while Lebron was lottery with the all-star version of Zydrunas in 05'

Kemp and Pippen against the same playoff opponent

VERSUS 98' PACERS

S KEMP.... 26.0 on 47%
PIPPEN.... 16.6 on 39%

VERSUS 93' SUNS

S KEMP.... 21/9 on 66% true shooting... 3.4 blocks... 1st option (payton averaged 12 ppg)
PIPPEN.... 21/9 on 46% true shooting... 1.0 blocks... 2nd option (jordan averaged 41 ppg)

* The Sonics and Suns went 7 games in the 93' WCF with identical ppg and ortg - but the Sonics didn't have an abnormal Paxson shot to win like the Bulls had, so Kemp played the 93' Suns closer than the Bulls did, while drastically outplaying Pippen on less usage.

* Kemp averaged 20/10 on 69% to win the Western Conference title against the 96' Jazz, and then averaged 23/10 on 53% to nearly win FMVP from MJ in the Finals (pippen averaged 15/8 on 34%).

Try again…

Jordan averaged more assists than Pippen for their Finals career, playoff career and regular season career, while Horace or Rodman led the rebounds, so Pippen did nothing..

Jordan also got more DPOY votes every year and was considered the better defender, while being the primary defender on the opponent's best player (Magic, Drexler, Miller, Payton, Isiah)

Diminished early on in his career just to be on a ride for a mickey championship. Good luck with the next 10+ years of your career, if you do ever reach that far.

Is he though?

Or are you lying?

He's putting up 12ppg...same as last season.

But now he's also dishing off an extra assist pg and 1.5 extra rebound.

Turnover basically the same... .2 difference.

So eat a bag of d1cks, you lying little rat.

Once again...the obsession with watching and hoping brons ex teammates fail is so fvcking sad and pathetic

Shows how insecure you are about your hero....
Why is that?
Because no one respects him...he doesn't even respect himself.
Fake manufactured fraud

Yea I'm sure he's upset that he couldn't ever be a 21ppg scorer on a lottery team.

Stars like Kareem or Zion are automatic stars - they're just too good.

But when players that are on the borderline of becoming stars (it could go either way), losing several critical development years by regressing in bron-ball will bring them back to the pack.. that's where Kuzma is now - back with the rest of the pack.

It’s adorable how you magically forgot to talk about his efficiency.
Both his FG% and 3P% are both down 3%.
He’s taking the same amount of 3s. I thought without lebron he’d no longer be forced to be a “spot up shooter”?

His advanced stats are down across the board. He’s playing worse. Cry a little more about it.

Last 3 games for Kuzma.. 8pts on 4-12 shooting, 4 pts on 2-6 and 6 points on 3-10. LOL

His TS% is at a career low as well.

Remember when LeBron and AD kept encouraging Kuz to step up and be that third guy the team can depend on?

He had his ultimate chance to shine in the bright lights but he's just not a great player.

Wizards guard play might be the worst in the league. This means Kuz and the other guys don't get as many easy looks.

Kuzma isnt good creating off the dribble so he is heavily dependent on the 3, and he seems pretty inconsistent from deep

Kuzma lost several years of development by regressing alongside Lebron - young players don't recover from that unless they were sure things from the jump..

The margins are slim between young guys vying for star status, so a few lost years is more than enough to send a guy that was initially ahead of the curve back to the pack.

Rookie Kuzma > 2nd year Pippen, but Lebron's ball-dominance reduced Kuzma to spot-up shooter and regressed him each year, while Jordan's off-ball game was an assist target that elevated Pippen to playmaker, so he grew by leaps and bounds every year.

Imagine if rookie Pippen (8 ppg) lost the next 3 years by being a spot-up shooter alongside a Westbrooker like Luka, Westbrook or Lebron - Pippen would've 27 years old and never developed as a ball-handler..

That's what Lebron does to young players because his skill restriction to ball-dominance imposes spot-up roles that stall young players, thereby needing ready-made stars to win (team-hopping)

Kuzma was 0-5 from 3 for the game then hit 2 3s in the last two minutes to seal the win.

Nice that he can hit them in the clutch but it would be nice to get some more production the rest of the game.
