Jordan averaged 27 ppg on 40 percent field goal shooting against the Glove in the 1996 NBA Finals

Given that Steph has averaged 42% FGs in his career in the finals against the likes of JR Smith, Kyrie, Lowry, etc, then what do you think? GP is the greatest on the ball perimeter defender, ever.

I wonder how Lebron would fare being guarded and pressured 90ft. by Scottie Pippen?

lol

Kawhi actually has notable examples shutting down stars as the pirmary defender, while Pippen has none.. So Lebron would do much better against Pippen, who was raised by MJ and still weak at heart.. Otoh, Kawhi makes Lebron fear him and curse when he enters the game... night and day because no one was ever scared of pippen on the basketball court

On the ball defender. *

Curry has an elite off ball game and shoots 60 TS in the playoffs. Better than Jordan.

Yea, I can see why you say that, but Hakeem and Rodman get my vote for that. I specified perimeter because Steph's game is perimeter. And the OP specifically highlighted MJ's finals performance against GP.

So if that was his output against GP in the finals, then what's Steph doing in the finals when he's been to 5 finals and faced guys like Kyrie, Dellavedova, JR, Lowry, etc?

The more interesting question might be how many championships would they have won together? It's starting to look like Curry and Payton II might be the next dynamic duo. Would Curry win more with the father than the son?
