Honestly how do you maximize your team around Lebron?

Westbrook didn’t work out. None of the pieces fit this time. What is the best starting 5 you can have around Lebron while he can still stat pad the way he must? I guess you need defense, 3s and some iso. Irving was a good piece for Lebron. You really need guys that can do everything or their weaknesses will show with Lebron.

AD might be the most complimentary player to Lebron. Maybe he could shoot better from 3. Kyrie was a great fit. Great iso player, not really a pg. All the other stars didnt look great with Lebron. He could be great with Klay but Jokic+Lebron doesn't make sense. Jokic is a better passer but Lebron would hold the ball most of the time.

And didn't the Lakers go from lottery to champion in 1 year by putting him at PG - this actually allowed AD to have the frontcourt to himself.

Btw, Broussard pointed out a massive tactical error by the current Lakers:

They're #1 in pace even though Lebron always won at the slowest paces in the league - that's what Broussard said.

And I'll add that the Lakers don't have the jumpshooting to play at that pace and therefore are getting blown away by better jumpshooting teams that have NO PROBLEM playing at that pace.

It might be different if Lebron and/or Westbrook had elite jumpshooting skill and could "pop off" whenever they wanted - but they're lumbering ball-dominators in a league that's trending more towards jumpshooting... But hey, maybe AD can come back and play like Kareem again (2020) to save the Lakers (again).
