Questions?

Nice comparison between facilitators. Huge gap between lebron and jordan given that jordan is primarily a scorer and lebron basically has the ball everytime and controls where he wants his teammates to shoot the ball in a bronball system.

lol legoat's going to end up with more playoff assists than jordone and garter snake bryant combined. while averaging 29 ppg on much better scoring efficiency. what is even the argument for the other two? oh yeah...team accomplishments. how desperate.

But isn't winning why you play in the first place though? Lebron stacked the deck to make the game easier for him. That afforded him some rings and the luxury of focusing on stats. LeShortcut but still has a losing finals record.

I dont mind disagreeing on lebron. But please stop this hurr durr shit. Seriously cringe as fck.

Stack the deck with rodman, kerr, post injury and past prime harper, kukoc, wennington, longley? We only talk about how stacked they are because they won a 3peat. If they won 1 and lost the other 2, we'd be making excuses about how old and insane rodman is and about pip's injury in 98 as to why they lost. Exactly how we are trashing now the likes of kyrie, love, wade, bosh, AD.

From 1991 to 1998 Pippen outdid MJ in:
REBS
AST
STL
BLK

Is that not stacked enough without Phil Jackson and Grant/Rodman being mentioned?

Rodman got fmvp votes… Kukoc was literally the best European player at the time. You are delusional

Not all assists are good or needed

Because they played in a system that is why they dominated in 96 with 72 wins. Everyone had a role. Unlike the bronball system where it was one-man possession dominant in a wide open lane game.

pippen - top 5/6 player of the 90s
kukoc - 6th man of the yr
rodman - rebounding champ, dpoy
harper - averaged 23 ppg as a rook
kerr - highest 3pt percentage in nba history
phil - goat coach

all this help to win in a watered down era where your finals opponent's second option averaged 10 ppg. jordone fans are embarrassingly delusional.

Assists aren't critical to score and Lebron yields low team assists, so your logic backfires anyway

Otoh, all turnovers are bad

Tell that to the 2021/22 Utah Jazz.

comparing turnover ratios to guys that didn't hold the ball the entire game is stupid. Kobe and Jordan didn't play bran ball. they didn't force assists and stagnate the offense. they had dozens of safer passes/hockey assists/3rd and 4th last guy to touch the ball. their style caused less turnovers per possession than lebrons style. their turnovers came mostly off of a double/triple team. not throwing a bad pass. more turnovers is worse. period. lebrons team this year turns the ball over at a historic rate. his style is the same as westbrooks. he invented this shit. he's just as responsible for every Westbrook turnover. it's as much of a contribution to today's style as the curry 3 ball spamming.

With more assists/possession time comes more individual turnovers. CP3 is the only guy I can think of that really bucks that trend.

While Lebron's increased assists might take away an assist from teammates, so to do his turnovers. They are almost always directly correlated.

such a BS stat.

only reason why Lebron has so many assists is because he always played with multiple superstars that finish. 95% of those assists were just basic passes where the superstar made something of it.

Yet Mike only had a single all-star all those years, while Lebron current has the best Pelican, the former best Nugget/Knick, Best Magic player & DPOY (Dwight), 2x champ in Rondo, former league MVP & 4/5 triple double seasons (Westbrook) and LA has lost 5 straight and in 9th place in the west.
Pippen was maybe top 10 in the 90's - too many "my back hurts (98 finals game 6) migraine games ('90 vs Pistons Game 7) & I refuse to play games. I sure as hell don't have him above Malone, Barkely, Ewing, Drexler, Hakeem, Stockton, Miller, Robinson, Shaq, etc. Too many "shrinking violet" Pippen moments.
