I've been Mandela Effected... but don't recall John Madden ever passing away.
Most recent Mandela Effect was discovering Morpheus never said "what if I told you" in the Matrix... Which is crazy that the director of the Matrix also directed what I always thought was Jupiter Rising... a few days after watching the movie Jupiter Rising, the movie title changed to Jupiter Ascending.
In my alternate reality... Morpheus definitely said "What if I told you" because I remember laughing at how corny it sounded... and it even somehow became a meme, yet he never said it? Doesn't make any sense.
Also in my alternate reality... The movie was definitely called Jupiter Rising... or, that's how it had to have been advertised in the trailers.

Biggest mystery that still holds up to this day.... James Bond Moonraker braces:

That Bitch had on braces. The scene makes no sense without them.

you remember "what if I told you" because of all the memes misquoting him
its like all the imitations everyone does of Vader saying "Luke I am your father" when in the movie he says "no. I am your father"... its just society reprogramming your brain. it's not you being the center of the universe. people just misremember things or hear the wrong thing enough that it becomes fact to you.

No, as a Raider fan I would have known right away if Madden died.
But it is kinda odd how FOX aired a Madden documentary like 3 days before he died.

My cousin saw that, huge Raider fan and yeah it was odd seeing that he died shortly after.

No, I actually remember him saying it twice in the film.... it was so memorable because it was cringe worthy... made sense to me that there was a meme about it, cause I specifically remember the line.
Also remember an announcement that Billy Graham had died sometime before 2010... when he died in 2018 I was a little shocked like the OP is with Madden.

so you're lieutenant commander data from star trek. that or robocop and you can play back everything you see with perfect clarity. or are you human with the possibility of remembering things incorrectly.
because if you're not an android or at least implanted with a neural net processor then sorry but you are not infallible

Well... it would be one thing if it was just me that misremembered.... but it's not.
How does a large portion of society misremember the exact same thing?
I mean, I get it... people get misquoted, people remember things differently... but I don't dismiss the Mandela Effect.
Am I 100% sold that the Mandela Effect is real? No.... But I do have some theories that are a little outside the box regarding the subject.
All the popular Mandela Effects that have taken place do have something in common... but I'm no going into detail as to what I suspect that common denominator is.

So the Mandela Effect just coincidentally happen to change the movie line that was also an extremely popular viral meme for years and years? Try using common sense. The constant memes affected your memory, not magic.

Also makes no sense that the Mandela effect has the power to change every DVD, Blu-ray, recording ever made. But it doesn't change the meme or computer images? But for some reason it was capable of changing images of the braces girl?
Connect the dots. It's not a real thing.

I tend to agree that it's not real as well... but just feel like I know Morpheus said "What if I told you" somewhere in that Matrix movie. Would've bet any amount of money on it. It was in the beginning of the first film when Neo first meets Morpheus face to face.
If he really never said that.... then that's a big WTF for me personally.
Also the "Cash Me Outside" girl from Dr. Phil was strange.

Many remember the "Cash Me Outside" girl from Dr. Phil appearing on the show and becoming a meme years ago... #MandelaEffect
Dont remember it becoming a a meme but definitely did air back in 2012 because thats when i remember it
Only thing that could make sense is that it was a rerun... and they've been lying about her age. How would a high number of people misremember something like that?

I bet 500 people around the planet at this very moment are sticking a jar up their ass. and the jar just broke and now they're picking glass out of their anus
the reason why this is possible is because there's like 7 billion people on earth. a large portion of people will share the same thoughts on literally anything and everything

Cash me outside girl happened in 2016, 5 years ago. She's 18 now. That's feels about right to me. What am I missing here?

people remember seeing the show in 2012 or years before 2016... She'd have to be alot older than 18 if that's true.
How do all those people have a failed recollection of Cash me outside girl?... thinking they saw that same Dr. Phil episode years before 2016.

I honestly remember seeing that video clip in the early 2010's...then when it went viral again in 2016 i was wondering why there was a big hype around that girl...i thought it was just the old video that randomly resurfaced and got on people's recommended list until i was told it was a recent video.
This is legit one of the biggest mind**** i had and glad to know there's other people that remember that too.
