Actually Westbrook's stats have been pretty accurate. Obviously just the RAW points/rebounds/assists is not saying much on their own, but Westbrook's basic advanced stats have shown that he fell of a cliff since his MVP season. He was legit incredible in his MVP season in 2017 and still very solid in 2018, but he is a shell of that now...and his stats show that. Horrible efficiency/turnovers, low PER, negative BPM (yes negative).

Westbrook was a high level all star from 2012-2018 or so, but he's clearly not that now. The term triple double doesn't explain enough on it's own outside of at least 10/10/10...you have to factor scoring efficiency, turnovers, minutes played/possessions played, was it a 10/10/10 trip-dub or a 30/10/10 trip dub, etc.

Westbrook for sure deserves praise for his 2017 MVP season because it was his best volume jumpshooting/free throw season of his career on top of his massive tri-dubs...all that after KD left to go to the team that beat them when they had a 3-1 lead. People just need to understand that season was an OUTLIER for Westbrook and he hasn't hit that level since.

With all that said, OF COURSE you need to watch the actual games often enough to judge a player fully...you'd be a moron if you thought basic stats would explain everything.
