LeBron with an equivalent of Reggie Miller/Mitch Richmond/Latrell Sprewell/John Starks being his main competitors in the league at his position = 8 rings at least

You do know that.

A. Lebron is primarily a SF
B. Miller, Starks and Richmond are SG's
C. His main competitors are gonna be Malone, Barkley, Olajuwon, Robinson, basketball ain't played one on one.

No dumbass.

Lebron is the go to guy of his team. So his comparison for the best player in the NBA for that bigman era would be bigs. Your talking about matchup which is again disingeneous on you part as usual.

You are just pushing that narrative to make your idol look better.

"Common sense" = "narrative". :oldlol:

I am talking about the players who would be most directly related to his on-court energy expenditure, on both ends of the court.

You are hoping that naming the big men of the 90s will somehow distract from the fact that 90s perimeter competition = crap. It won't. :(

Yes, that is exactly the type of play he would have to give zero damns about in the 90s because Bryon Russell and his 10 ppg wouldn't be a concern.

:lol The only SF worth a damn in the 90s was Scottie Pippen. There was also Grant Hill, but he only played in the second half of the 90s.

I couldn't even tell who the third best SF of the 90s was. Chris Mullin? Glen Rice? Old Dominique Wilkins, who had two seasons where he played in Greece and Italy? :lol

In general perimeter players in the 90s were a joke compared to the 2010s.

You're literally wrong but none of that matters. Lebron isn't guarding the real threats (Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Malone, Barkley, etc) and we all know he'll choke like he did in 2011 at least once and get outscored by a roleplayer during his prime/peak.

Jason Terry

Circle-jerk name dropping a player who wasn't even close to being as good as the best player on his team doesn't help your case.

Jimmy Butler > Every small forward who played in more than half the seasons of the 90s, aside from Pippen = fact

So he has to matchup against Olajuwon, Malone, Robinson, Ewing, Shaq, Barkley and Mourning.

Apparently, it seems that you also thought you knew what the phrase "has to" means, which you shockingly don't since it only consists of two words and five letters.

His matchup would be the players that match his most natural position, and not the position he is capable of playing as a last resort. And those matchups would be Mario Elie, Bryon Russell, Sean Elliott, Charles Smith, Donald Royal, Dan Majerle and Jamal Mashburn.

Not that i care either way about the argument, but I'm pretty effing sure he mentioned Sg as they were MJ's positional comp in the the 90s and was just saying agaisnt that caliber of player at sf instead. I'm sure you know this, but I guess it's part of the rainman shtick Jordan fans use as a go to these days to avoid serious discussion that they can't win........

On paper a lot... but keep in mind that Shaq and Kobe only had their primes overlap for 3 seasons from 2001-2003. Before that Kobe wasn't in his prime and after that Shaq wasn't in his prime so that duo as well could have won a lot more (5 rings?) if their primes overlapped for a decade. The other issue is would Shaq and Lebron get along? No one knows. Shaq had a big ego... At the end it's all hypotheticals. We'll never know.

It's pretty evident here why they chose the "equivalent" SG's in a bigman era to make their favorite player look better.

One could easily make the "equivalent" bigman player of that era. But it wouldn't support their narrative.
