None of you know how great he was during his prime but thankfully there's an example here

Great performance absolutely carried the Mavs

In their primes, they were about equal.

2011 Jason Terry, who swept Kobe while outplaying him >>>> 1998 Jeff Hornacek though

Pretty good comparison.

Hornacek was probably the more consistent overall player but Terry was cold-blooded and could get hot and carry the Mavs for games at a time. Usually in big ones.

Probably would depend on the team but I would take Hornacek ultimately.

I'll never forget when 2011 Jason Terry swept my Lakers led by Kobe :(

Then he took out KD, Russ and Harden :( 2011 Jason Terry is a bad man

Am I remembering right? Did Terry also do something to the Heat in 2011?

Dude stop entertaining.

What about the actual comparison? It’s not a bad one

Jason Terry would average 30ppg in Hornaceks' era.

In before the Lebronites overrate Terry to push a narrative.

Too late. The Twerporation and Mr. Satan has posted.

Jeff Hornecek beat prime Hakeem/Barkely/Drexler and then Duncan/Robinson and then Shaq/Kobe

I have family from Atlanta and Jason Terry was very legit during those days. He had a crazy duel with Dirk once that one of my cousins saw live. I think he dropped like 44 or something. He could get hot in a hurry but you're right Hornacek was definitely more steady.

I think as a shooter Hornacek's severely underrated. He's a step below Chris Mullin as being automatic.

No all stars no nothing but he outplayed Kobe and LeBron in playoff series en route to a title run.

Take that for what it is

It’s definitely Terry by far. Yall see what he did to Wade in 2011??

He’s a bonafide stud. END OF STORY.

Yea I just looked and Hornacek shot 50% from 3 for multiple playoff runs. Pretty good stuff.

He was also a better defender.

But yea terry gave no fvcks. Probably had a better handle and could shoot from more angles. And I’d trust him more as the primary playmaker.

Terry also did something to a certain 6'8 player from Ohio in the Finals that year.

Do you remember what it was?

Big Jeff tore up the net in the '96 playoffs, making everything, albeit with a shortened three-point line from 23 feet 9 inches to 22 feet, as it was for just that year and the following season, and he didn't make mistakes, but Jason Terry has been the man sometimes.

I suppose that means big Jeff shot 49% from the field, 45% from three and 91% from the foul line from 1997-98 to the end of his time in the NBA. From the start of NBA to 1994-95, he made half of his shots from the field, 38% from three and 86% from the line. 38% from three and 88% from the line from 1992-93 through 1994-95...

and finally...

49/41/89 from 1992-93 to the end of his career

While you could certainly argue Terry I’d give the nod to Hornacek if we’re talking prime for prime. But since this is obv an agenda thread, 2011 Terry was much better than ‘97 & ‘98 Hornacek.

For their roles they're about even. But I couldn't imagine Horncek calling out MJ for his defense and splashing a 3 right over him to seal a Finals game....

You mean terry was also either a janitor, a plumber, a mechanic or a grocery bagger by the time he did all of that bt? Huh interesting.

I couldn't imagine a '98 Hornacek averaging 11 points in the playoffs. Mainly because he averaged 10.9.

I feel like at his peaks Jason Terry is around Charlotte Kemba level.

Hornacek at his peak was around Klay Thompson level

Why did Lebron choke and score 8 points being guarded by Jason Terry and JJ Barea?

Different. Wasn't Hornaceck a combo guy earlier on?

Klay is way taller and probably more explosive as a scorer, yea?
