View Full Version : Lebron makes 3 low IQ basketball plays on one play to close game

End of the game, Lebron has the ball at the top of the key, Lakers down 3 trailing 102-99 with about 7 seconds to play. Lebron, with old man, tired legs, stumbles around his defender, and makes the first of 3 low IQ basketball plays. First, the Lakers needed a three yet Lebron inexplicably dribbles and stumbles below the three point arc. Second, he jumps and gets caught in the air. Every kid knows you don't do this. And third, he tries to pass to Westbrick and turns it over, game over. Why in the world does the supposed highest basketball IQ guy keep passing to Westbrick?
Answer...he's not that smart.

Each year, Lebron is top 5 in turnovers per game and within 0.5 of Westbrook most years, so there's a double standard where Westbrook is criticized but Lebron isn't.

If an IQ test were to be given to all the players, Lebron's would be one of the lowest.

And...Lebron recruited Westbrick to come to play with the Lakers. There is not a single contending team in the league that would take that guy. Lebron is not a smart guy.

A smart player would run a super-smart ball movement system like the Spurs, Warriors or 90's Bulls.
Unfortunately, Lebron lacks the skill to play without dominating the ball.. It's AAU style ball-dominance that he's been using since he was 10 years old, aka he never evolved out of offenses that revolve around him.. Specifically, he never learned to elevate teammates more than making them spot-up shooter, so he never learned to WIN (organic) and had to team-hop (talent-based winning).. Talent-based winning loses to organic ball movement, so Lebron has a lottery record against the Spurs, Mavs and Warriors.

1st pass - any bozo will make this pass. his left side was completely covered. who do you pass to? the wide open guy right in the corner.
2nd pass - why pass to a guard inside the paint with 3 defenders?
3rd pass - again, too obvious that there was a wide open player at the corner
just because he tried to make it look like they were no look passes does not mean they were all high iq passes. they were ordinary passes that most nba players would make.

Lebron lacks the skill to dibble around his defender and pull up for a jumper...he just can't do it.

That might affect his fg% lol. Better be sure, has to be a wide open layup or dunk.

hurrr, he slipped, durrr. he was obviously going to drive and kick for a 3pt attempt because monk can't make a basic swing pass to the wide open man in the corner.

Ok, I'll give you that, then 1. why jump and caught in the air and then 2. why pass to WestBrick? everyone knows you don't pass to Westbrick...even Monk was smart enough to not pass it to the Bricker.

Yeah, he knew the clock was winding down. No urgency there. Should not have jumped unless he wanted to shoot it or he knew there was a clear pass to be made.
Just to note, that was a Kyle Slow Mo Anderson guarding him at the time and Lebron could not blow by him. Lol

Apparently Monk's lack of vision/IQ is LeBron's fault :lol

So monk should have passed to westbrick for a crucial 3?

The fact you all are discussing this really speak to how much critical you guys are of lebron vs other players.
Memphis is a good defensive team. Kyle Anderson is a guy who plays fundamental defense similar to Shane batter.
