The Cleveland Cavaliers are in serious talks on a deal to acquire Lakers guard Rajon Rondo, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. In wake of Ricky Rubio’s season-ending ACL injury, Cleveland has need for backcourt help and is working on the potential move

The Cleveland Cavaliers are nearing a trade to acquire Los Angeles Lakers guard Rajon Rondo -- and an agreement is expected to be reached as soon as Friday, sources tell ESPN. Rondo would be able to join Cleveland as soon as he clears Covid protocols.Adrian Wojnarowski

The question is when will Nunn be back? With Nunn-Westbrook we don't need another Point Guard.

january. and yeah vogel said rondo's role is more of a coach than player when everyone is healthy.

Naaa, he's toast regardless. Would rather have a guy who can actually contribute now, to just make the damn playoffs.

You have in THT, Westbrook & Melo low IQ players, Rondo would elevate them by guiding them off the bench.

Melo & Westbrook have been over 10 years in the league, if they still need veteran guidance then just LOL.

It will be a minor trade.. Probably Rondo for a future pick. I hope Lakers can swindle a future 1st rounder or get 2 1st round swaps out of it :lol

Terrible break for both Rubio and the Cavs. Rubio was having a terrific season and has been a huge part of the team's success thus far.

Rondo seems like a reasonble short-term replacement. For whatever he can't do, he can still run the point at a high level. He should thrive with a young, competitive & competent team that knows how to move the ball and moves without the ball.
