View Full Version : Why didn't LeBron's stats inflate in the bubble but everyone else's did?

It's been mentioned that the bubble stats were inflated due to less pressure from the fans/crowd, clearer baselines, opposing benches moved back, same court each night, etc. Many players had increased bubble stats, such as:

-T.J.Warren
-Jamal Murray
-Donovan Mitchell
-Tyler Herro
-Jimmy Butler
-Caris Levert
-Michael Porter
-Gary Trent Jr.

But none of these bubble conditions helped boost LeBron's stats. Why not?

Because he has always been playing under "no pressure" conditions his whole life. ICE IN HIS VEINS.

He didnt get a boost because pressureless play was his norm all along. Basically LeBron was facing the biggest disadvantage in the 2020 playoffs and still won it all yet again.

2020 Playoffs
28/11/9 on 56%

2020 Finals
30/12/9 on 59%

LeGoat showed one more time why he's the best to ever lace them up.

I almost have to admire the way Lebronies even try to spin negatives into positives for Lebum. Everyone in the bubble saw their stats go up - except Lebron. And this guy's trying to say it shows how good Lebum is.

ALMOST have to admire. I'll give OP a B+ for effort.

I don't know, you tell me. Why was Jamal Murray dropping 50 points, Jimmy Butler dropping 40 point triple doubles in finals games, and Lebron couldn't bump up any of his precious stats?

Well those players do have one thing in common

-T.J.Warren (26)
-Jamal Murray (22)
-Donovan Mitchell (23)
-Tyler Herro (19)
-Caris Levert (25)
-Michael Porter (21)
-Gary Trent Jr. (20)

The bubble was great for young players and a guy like Jimmy Butler who works really well with young players.

It's really remarkable that LeBron was able to fight through his substantial drop in averages (22/7/7 in the 7 regular season games in the bubble), compared to 26/8/11 he averaged in the 60 games prior to the bubble, and win the chip/Finals MVP in an environment that raised the games of so many opposing players. Not to mention an environment that robbed him of his deserved home court advantages he should've had as a 1st seed the Lakers had after 63 games before the bubble.

Reason #458934 for why he's the GOAT.

Rondo (the guy who carried lebron) went from 7.1/3.0/5.0 during reg season to 8.9/4.3/6.6 in the bubble.

Lebron was putting up worse stats then his reg season avg while his stans were claiming he was "saving himself" for the po's.

cause AD was carrying his ass to the finals. lebron didn't hijack the team till they had a weak opponent

AD is the one that looked way better than he really was for the first 3 rounds. he was all time great. now look at him
