Twitter-babies go along with the group think that Lebron is great and let him score:

Real men gang up on the guy they think is great:

One era *********es to internet porn and doesn't allow beer in the locker room, while the other era drinks beer and has sex with women in the locker room after the game.

One era doesn't allow hand-checking, physicality, impeding, paint-camping or unspaced courts, while the other era allows hard fouls, physicality, impeding, paint-camping, hand-checking and didn't have spacing.

Do you really think professional athletes in this era have any problems getting women?

Perimter defense today is pretty weak, no argument there. One of the main reasons I wont really "evaluate" LeBron until the end of the season and going into the playoffs. He also looked great in the regular-season last year (better playmaking but worse scoring). We saw what happened vs Phoenix though.

No one is really trying to defend lebron per se. Those that watch games see that. It’s wide open lanes for lebron. No resistance on the inside.

That's not an excuse. :confusedshrug: LeBron looked great the 2 or 3 games just before the playoffs. He just went up against a team that actually played defense lol

he played 4 games since march. only a complete tard would expact him to have any rhythm offensively and be anywhere near basketball shape.

To just completely leave out the fact he was out injured for 2 months right before the playoffs is extremely disingenuous

His "rhythm" looked fine those games before the playoffs. And his numbers were basically the same. Drop the excuses pansy lol

An ankle sprain?

G.T.F.O

seriously

that "injury" was one of the biggest examples of the media babying Lebron - I've never heard someone use an ankle injury as an excuse.. a damn ankle sprain that he had weeks to recover from.. it's preposterous to use that as an excuse.. completely ridiculous and fake.

it was complete bullshit... Kobe and Jordan played on bad ankles all the time, but the point is that they never an "ankle" after weeks of recovery time.. so it was complete bullshit to give Lebron an excuse for his age and shitty play.

f'cking ankle sprain.. gtfo.. smh

this retard has no clue the severity of a high ankle sprain. they can take longer than a break to heal. it's completely different ligaments than a regular outside ankle sprain. i already educated him on this and he ignored it.

No one has ever "ganged up" on Lebron - show me where his opponents said that the main objective was to physically hurt him when he attacked the rim

Listen to Rodman and John Salley talk about the Jordan Rules - they literally say:

"every time he came to the hole... BAM!! (salley makes motion of his hand hitting his elbow) - we wanted to hurt him and put him on his ass."

Show me where Lebron's opponents said that about him or felt that was necessary to stop him

waiting...

First of all, your numbers are wrong. LeBron played 2 regular-season games and the play-in. In those games, he averaged 24/6/8. The same all-around numbers before his injury. You're confusing LeBron's scoring streak rn with how he played last year. In other words, you're retarded.

no, you're wrong. he came back for two games and then had to sit out the next 6 because he wasn't ready. then was forced to play the final two games of the reg season with the playoffs a week or so away.

lebron wasn't a 198 lb wimp at any point in his career. that strategy ends with the opponent getting hurt. see roy hibbert.

You’re right on the mentality part but the problem is 90% of Jordan’s opponents would defend him with either Kelly Tripuka or someone who looked like Kelly Tripuka:

https://thumbs.gfycat.com/PointedCavernousAmericancrayfish-size_restricted.gif

Bunch of Kelly’s guarding a super athlete chest to chest at 30 feet giving him room to blow by and lay it up:

https://thumbs.gfycat.com/HighMenacingAdmiralbutterfly-size_restricted.gif

And what’s sad is Kelly was often the better matchup put on him after the initial defender(right off the tap here not a switch) might be 5’2”:

https://thumbs.gfycat.com/FarawayAgreeableImago-size_restricted.gif

https://thumbs.gfycat.com/ScentedFaithfulKilldeer-size_restricted.gif

Note the little “Good effort lil fella” tap on the ass. So Kelly was the tougher of a lot of his matchups….

And even when he couldn’t find a Kelly plenty of guys would also usher him to the basket as the golden boy they all ate off:

https://thumbs.gfycat.com/SilverEsteemedEland-size_restricted.gif

Out there guarding the goat slasher like a nobody.

The few teams that were physical were more physical than todays but the majority were both soft and stupid and fully stocked with Kelly Tripuka.

Kblaze8855
01-02-2022, 01:30 PM
They even brought Kelly’s dad out there at one point:

https://www.hostpic.org/images/2201022257500374.jpeg

Much more mentally tough. But in a “In my day….” old white guys kinda way. All the fortitude. Not much else. Like being contested by angry ass marshmallows. They’re in the way sure….but mental toughness doesn’t make up for being physically inferior to everyone today.

I had a high ankle sprain and was out for 6-8 weeks, I can't remember exactly - it was the worst kind of sprain - I went up as high as I could for a rebound, and came down on my left ankle with absolutely nothing to break the fall.

When I came back after the time off, I didn't think about the ankle for another 10 years.

Teams didn't treat Shaq that way either - they weren't like "let's try to hurt him every time"

Only the goat faced and overcame that

again...shaq was never a 198 lb wimp. it's funny you think teams questioning mj's toughness is a good thing. truth is the league must have questioned his toughness also...why else would they change the rules to help him.

No one did that to Bird either

Or Magic

Or Kareem

Or West

Or Elgin

Or Oscar

Or Dr. J

Or Isiah

Only Jordan because all those other guys had other scoring options that required attention, and also Jordan was more unstoppable than all those guys.. When I try to imagine guarding some of his aerial plays and hangtime, I can understand the urge to just throw him to the ground.
