Not surprised. Toyota just makes superior longer-lasting cars that cost less to purchase & repair. Honda too.

GM/Ford typically are not good buys if your focus is on longevity. More expensive on average & massive gas-guzzling monsters. Americans have a love affair with buying massive 4x4 SUVs/trucks & never using all that extra storage. It's essentially a status symbol. Anyways, let's see how their electric cars pan out that both are investing billions of dollars in.

confirmed. my longest-lasting car was a toyota. easy maintanance.

i've driven cars of "nicer" brands but they always had stuff that needed to be fixed all the time and they were always costly.

After clicking this thread I got some sort of flashback to 1990 and some major big controversy going on at the time with Toyota and America, but I have no idea what it was. And as I typed that I got some other flashback to Nintendo wanting to buy the Seattle Mariners and using it as a sort off olive branch for some sort of Americans are lazy controversy.

It was locked up in my brain ever since the time it happened, coming out now. Thank Axe for the mental stimulation.

I bought a 2007 Toyota 4Runner almost 3 years ago with 160,000 miles on it. So easy to work on myself and great in the Wisconsin winter snow storms. Almost bought a Tundra before that, but didn't need something that big.
