Just watched it and wow... what an utter piece of shit.

I thought it might just be me, but nope. Everybody thought it was trash. Unbelievable that they brought the show back because the original series finale was considered one of the worst endings ever, onlynyo create an even worse ending.

Spoiler....

Harrison now high school aged, tracked Dexter down. Dexter realizes Harrison has violent anger issues and believes it's his dark passenger because he was also left in a puddle of his murdered mom's blood. Dexter now known as Jim, teaches Harrison how to control it among other things, like shooting a rifle that he gave Harrison for Christmas. In the finale, Harrison murders Dexter with the rifle and flees after Dexter's cop girlfriend gives Harrison money for a bus to split. The end.

the ending was very anticlimactic considering the entire premise of the show. and the police chief giving him money and letting him go LOL, wasn't her chasing down dexter because she felt she needed to do the right thing? and then she goes and allows harrison to flee the scene

the writers don't know how write an ending.

I was able to ignore the ridiculousness of encountering another serial killer in a remote location, and the girlfriend running into Batista. But to end it all abruptly in such a stupid way ultimately ruined what was an entertaining season. They should have just kept him alive and done another season in LA. They are already talking about a season 2 based around Harrison. It has Cruel Intentions 2 and Mean Girls 2 written all over it.

Harrison is nowhere nearly a strong enough character or entertaining enough to anchor a season by himself lol

The ending was good...its that point A to B were poorly executed. No showdown between Batista. Dexter breaking character and killing Logan who's an innocent (had to think what he'd do with Doakes and even contemplated turning himself in). The whole second half felt rushed lol. Again, Harrison killing Dexter would've worked if the buildup was there.

But here we are. They had 10 years to redeem that shit ending. Instead viewers are left disappointed...again.

The ending was total dog shit.. why bring the show back just to end it like that?:facepalm
Harrison was a full on retard soyboy, they must have based him on r3 or something..

Should have expected it, the last few seasons of the original was trash.

I agree with this. They spent too much time up front with the red herring of the rich guy in town to kind of misdirect the missing girl thing, then just totally bailed on it.

His death, at Harrison's hand, isn't an inherent problem for me. There were only a few ways out of it. The idea of her figuring him out, then using him to solve the case she's been obsessed with, then him joining on with her, using what he knows, as some sort of elite tracking team, and keeping himself in check that way, was maybe the only other way out of it. Or maybe he turns himself in for Harrison, and because of his relationship with her, to her. Either way, it had to really end. Him getting away and leaving it open again wasn't gonna work for me.

Yup spot on, but damn. Clyde Phillips blueballed viewers hinting at a Batista confrontation. :oldlol: I actually wouldn't have minded a trial back in Miami. After being arrested, though, Dexter literally tells Harrison that he's "been through worse". So killing Logan really didn't make sense. The episode began to spiral right afterward.

Just saw the finale a couple of hours ago, my lady friend asked me how I thought it would end, I as a joke said Harrison would kill Dexter and sure enough that's how it ended. LOL. The ending didn't sit right with me, when Dexter accepted Harrison for who he really was they bonded, it seemed like Harrison would do anything for him, then out of nowhere he just kills him? What a weak ending.

With that said, I enjoyed the season more than I thought I would, but season 4 to me will always be the GOAT.
