Yeah it’s gonna be wild. I have a few bad memories of Niners vs Cowboys back in the day. It was the biggest rivalry. Both Niners and Cowboys cooled off for awhile and it died down for the most part…but they are both back in the playoffs, it’s on. Thanks for the rec though, gonna try to hit up some bbq places for sure. I wanna see how legit the beef briskets are.

I've heard really good things about Cattleack, but never tried it myself. Their hours are ridiculous... 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM Thursday and Friday ONLY. And they sell out long before 2 PM. Two places I have actually eaten at and can recommend are Pecan Lodge and Lockhart Smokehouse.

Fuel City Tacos is open 24 hours and can take care of that late night craving.

Hockey’s the exact opposite of football to me. It might actually be my favorite sport to watch in person, far less breaks in the action than basketball, but it’s literally unwatchable to me on tv.

To be fair, the appeal is more about the atmosphere and experience than the specific view of the game. Especially in the playoffs.

Probably true. I went to tons of Pats game in the mid 2000s and had fun. Never been to a playoff game. As I've gotten older it just seems like such a chore to go to games not even factoring the prices of tickets.

Final play was a major wtf. Tho with no timeouts there was really no scenario likely to produce a TD. I think you have to simply take your chances with two consecutive shots at the endzone from 35 yards out or wherever they were. That qb draw would have been a nice play with just a bit more time on the clock, but that was objectively dicey at best even without the benefit of hindsight.

Anyhow, so it goes. GG 49ers.

Good game brother. You have always been a cool cat. Dallas fans were really classy to be honest and they took it well all things considered.

For me the cowboys and Niners rivalry never died. Packers we don’t even care about anymore because we whooped them so many times. Seahawks I still hate but it’s dying down kinda. Cowboys….never got over it. I went to the 1993 NFC championship at candlestick where we were rolling and thought we had it all the way. The boys came into the stick and dusted our butts. I legit cried. Probably the most crushing sports loss ever for me. I’ve never forgotten. You guys took us out twice in the playoffs too, 1992, 1993, both times you went in to win the championship vs the poor bills. (That’s another post all together). But third time around was a charm on 94, we stole Primetime from you guys and we finally overcame that hurdle….and went on to win the SB. The NFL was our (Niners/cowboys) league, everyone knew whoever came out on top between Niners and cowboys would win the league. The super bowl was the NFC championship during that hay day.

But it was amazing to see that rivalry re kindled after so many years. Good for the nfl all together. That was a crushing one for you guys but I hope you see us back next year for a rematch.
