2 MVPs, 1 Title, 1 FMVP, 1 DPOY

How many in the top 10-15 has this resume?

Not to mention he's about to win his 3rd MVP this season.

He already accomplish more than some legendary players already. And his performance, relative to the era, is amazing.

I feel like he is already one of the greats to ever play.

I don't like the actual ranking per say, but I wonder if ppl would put him above Barkley, Dirk, KG. I dunno bout Moses Malone.

If he retired today? Probably not. He's somewhere around 20 right now. Even though his peak is one of the 15 best ever, he hasn't done quite enough career-wise to be ahead of some guys with more titles. There are 15 players with a better resume overall when you consider that Steph, KD and maybe even Lebron are ahead of him all-time as far as active players go right now and then you can easily find another 12 from past eras.

And I might even add Kawhi to that list as he has won multiple titles with multiple FMVPs and 2x DPOYs. I know he doesn't have the RS MVP award to his name due to his injuries/load-management but he did outplay Giannis H2H in the POs down 0 - 2 and backdoored him and his 2019 run is just as good overall so there's a debate to be had IMO.

If Giannis is ranked over LeBron he's obviously over MJ too.

LBJ > MJ > Kareem

Delusional.

Lebron is somewhere in the 8-12 range All-time. MJ, Kobe and Kareem are top 3.

He had way too slow of a start to his career for him to be considered that high already. We obviously don't know how his decline will be, nor how long his prime will last. And while beginning, middle and end might not be equally important when determining a player's place on all-time lists, all 3 are still important nonetheless.

Yeahhh :lol
Did you see Real GM & ISH's ranks? I'll refresh your memory:

ISH
MJ:1
LBJ: 2
Kobe:12

Real GM
LBJ: 1
MJ: 2
Kobe: 12

You good?

Should've said that LeBron is somewhere around 20-25. That would've hidden your insecurity about LeBron's obvious GOAThood even better.

Well let's look at the generation players right now and where we would rank him...

1. Lebron
2. Curry
3. Paul
4. Durant
5. Leonard
6. Giannis
7. Anthony
8. Harden
9. Thompson
10. Howard
11. Kyrie
12. Lillard
13. Westbrook
14. Love
15. Butler
16. Green
17. Davis
18. Gobert
19. Rondo
20. Lowry
Not in the Hall
21. George
22. Griffin
23. Aldridge
24. Iggy
25. Beal
26. DeRozan
27. Embiid
28. Jokic
29. Luca
30. Young
31. Rose

So for Giannis to make the top fifteen how many players from this generation does he need to beat and has he surpassed XYZ type player. For me he's above James Harden and Carmello Anthony but he's below Kwhai Leonard and Kevin Durant. You also have to look at his position and where you would rank him...

1. Tim Duncan
2. Kevin Garnett
3. Karl Malone
4. Dirk Nowitzki
5. Charles Barkley
6. Giannis
7. Dolph Schayes
8. Elvin Hayes
9. Kevin McHale
10. Jerry Lucas

I don't see how you can realistically put him in the top 20, it's a stretch to have him in the top 30 right now. He can do a bit of damage to Durant and Leonard if he wins rings...but I don't see him finishing his career in the 10's.

His resume already surpass Garnett & Malone so why not.

Nah, the guy won the flukiest title ever last year, that’s not enough to put him top 15.

So what, the last 7 champions were just lucky? Injuries are happening more than ever i think people need to accept that.

He is on Hakeem level basically, with one less title, but with one more mvp, so one more ring and he is easily top 10. Out of the current active players no one has been more successful than him at 27.

No, it doesn't.

Garnett:
1 MVP
1 DPOY
4 x All-NBA 1st team
3 x All-NBA 2nd team
2 x All-NBA 3rd team
9 x All-defensive 1st team
3 x All-defensive 2nd team

Malone:
2 MVPs
11 x All-NBA 1st team
2 x All-NBA 2nd team
1 x All-NBA 3rd team
3 x All-defensive 1st team
1 x All-defensive 2nd team

Giannis:
2 MVPs
1 Finals MVP
1 DPOY
3 x All-NBA 1st team
2 x All-NBA 2nd team
3 x All-defensive 1st team
1 x All-defensive 2nd team

He might have a better peak than them, but so did Bill Walton. He still needs about half a decade.

I’d put him over Moses Malone but he’s in that category for me still, 20s. He has tons of time to climb to top 10 and will likely supplant Kobe for most people at #10-11 when it’s all said and done

Fine, we can pretend there’s ever been a season like last year where legitimately every title contender suffered a significant injury.

If Harden & Kyrie don’t both get injured last year, or if KD’s toe is behind the line, Giannis would still be getting clowned for being a playoff choker, and him being considered top 15 would be seen as trolling.

If the difference between being considered top 15 or a playoff choker is one injury aided title run, the guy ain’t top 15.

Lebron won his first title in 2012, in the year he turns 28
Giannis won it in 2021 - in the year he turns 27

So you can go **** yourself politely.

So mad. Your first post clearly said "at 27", now it's "the year he turns 28". Did you talk to a lawyer to find a loophole? Move them goal posts some more.
Either way, LeBron's resumé is still more impressive.
A straight-out-of-high-school 18 year-old rookie LeBron was better than Giannis in his 3rd season. Giannis wasn't even truly an elite player until his 5th season.

Giannis is well on his way and he did dominate the finals last year...but damn it was a fluke-type run due to the record setting amount of injuries last year to all-star or better players.

Idk, I want to see more PLAYOFF success before rating him top 15.

Currently Malone has 8 All-NBA 1st teams more than him. 7 assuming he gets one this season. That's more than a "few". Likewise, Garnett has 8 more all-defensive teams. He needs more years under his belt to pass them.

Look im not debating who is the better player, but who is more successful, and as Giannis is exactly 10 years yonger than Lebron its pretty easy to notcie that he won his ring earlier, having the same number of MVPs, so it is what is, deal with it. Right now any other comparison is based on ifs and buts, because we dont know how his career will unfold.
