He's made about 50m more.

I'm not sure who's more overpaid. Probably Tristan because Batum has actually been a valuable roleplayer for more than a season or two.

Crazy to see. Dude is not a great athlete.. not marketable..not offensively skilled.. undersized...wrong side of 30...

Still rich as **** and building his legacy off the court. He's winning

Enroll dollars he might be up there, but relative to the pay of his time? No.

Jon Konkak made more than a lot of hall of famers from his era. Thompson wasn’t making Lebron money. The 18 million he made at his highest season was third on that team. And the first two were also non all stars(a fallen off Love and Drummond). Jon was making more than Bird, Jordan, and Isiah.

Thompson wasn’t making more than Durant, Lebron, and whoever at their peak. He might have beat out Curry at one point because he signed that dumb 40 million dollar deal before he was a star but not for long.

I'm surprised more people don't attempt to kidnap sport stars.

Why on earth did the Hawks sign Koncak to that deal?

Was gonna say when guys like Soloman Hill were getting 50 million dollar contracts and literally doing nothing... this thread is just preposterous.

Tristan Thompson was actually a big time contributing member on a championship team. Outside Lebron and Kyrie he was probably the Cavs 3rd best player with how Love performed. TT was an absolute DEMON on the offensive glass. He had a very high motor.

3rd best player in the finals maybe. Love was dealing with injuries to be fair and he just can’t match up with GSW a lot of the time.

Btw I feel like TT has been a role player for so long people forget he was a top 4 pick and supposed to be a star. Weird to think about now.

He owes Bran a huge cut of all that.

Dollars to talent ratio, he’s gotta be top ten most overpaid.

No like has been said at least he was useful. Ayton will make more than him in the next few years and he's a waste

The Bum is just behind him with at least 28 million more still to be paid to the POS

People forget he was an awesome defender at one point and crucial to the Cavs championship run.

Kenneth Faried and Valanciunas of that draft class got similar type of big deals. It was a time where non-shooting bigs still got paid well.

This thread is pointless as there are much worse cases of overpaid players or players who didn't suit up anymore while collecting insane checks.

Zach lavine is one of those guys. Too bad the bulls couldn't move him due to a wrong timing injury.

Ayton is about 50 times better than TT.

He has a bigger scoring bag but TT is literally twice as good at defense and on the boards. He's one of the best offensive rebounders ever and does everything you'd want from a 3rd or 4th option. While Ayton pooped his pants in that role in the playoffs and quit on his team.

They both average really similar offensive board numbers...

Calling TT one of the best offensive rebounders ever is ridiculous lol.

Difference is the motor though. Ayton's talent seems wasted. Frankly I don't think he's very smart.

Tristan Thompson was a full time starter on Cleveland playing 30 mpg. In their 2015 run he played 40 mpg in the post season. What are you talking about?
