They're both injury prone and super skilled. I prefer a true center that's not afraid to play at the five. Lakers fan going slightly with Embiid here, but will still be forever grateful for what AD did in 2020.

Yes that's the difference between the two. AD for ALL INTENTS and PURPOSES is from the tree of KG and Giannis in a sense. Positionless types of 6'11-7'0 guys. KG and Giannis LEGIT played as SF, PF,and C. PLUS often functioned in a point forward type of role. And DEFENDED everybody from SG to C. AD has that type of versatility as well. Only difference is AD OFFENSIVELY didn't line up LEGIT as a SF from what I remember. Even though he easily could have. But defensively, he's exhibited the same versatility that Giannis and KG did.

Embid on the other hand is a true center WHO also can play small. An evolution to Dream and Admiral. Right now, I would go with Embid over AD. Due to AD's injury woes, he hasn't been at his best since the bubble. For me, I still prefer AD as a PF. Lakers want him to play center FOR THEIR NEEDS! But even in this era, I still prefer AD and Giannis for that matter at the 4 as their primary position. Embid, Joker, KAT, Ayton, etc. are the true center types. But Embid and AD are BOTH arguably the most 1 to 2 GIFTED players ever at their respective positions. I'm NOT SAYING the best ever. But when u look at their athletic ability, size, scoring skillset, handles, and defense as a package, they are on that level.
