True? Can’t say. But I’m sure some of you will be happy to fight over it:

Yep.

And thats the thing....Steph plays the team game

We know a certain group love to tear him down (and we know why)...but the Warriors don't win without him

The gravity he has on the floor is crazy and opens so much for his team mates.

And after all, it's a team sport, right?

No point getting stats if you keep losing

Wonder if the defense was just figuring that Curry was more likely to be impacted by the double? Durant can shoot well over anyone and anything you throw at him. Curry is on his level as a scorer but you can take him out of the game more easily. It's not truly easy of course and leaving someone open vs that Warrior team was death but the fact is that due to size he can be stopped. There's nothing you can do about Durant.

Not much to fight over... Curry's off ball movement, ability to pull up and shoot or catch and shoot and his range and insane confidence make him game breaking on offense.

Durant is a better 1 on 1 player by a mile, but the NBA isn't 1 on 1. Peak for peak? Career for career? Curry > Durant by a comfortable margin.

Anyways I don't remember who got doubled but this wouldn't surprise me at all.

Durant doesn't break the game on offense, Curry does.

sounds about right. It didn't really matter though, it felt like an nba team vs highschool team

Klay has had it easy his entire life. The only finals he had actually had to something was 2015 finals and he couldn't even average 16PPG or shoot over 30% from 3. He's a hard player to evaluate because it has never felt like he had to do anything, kind of like a rich mans robert horry but the SG version.

Go watch 2014 Finals games on Youtube and watch how Tony Parker is guarded.

Racist blacks don't want to see mixed race blacks shine.

Racist whites fear promotion of mixed race blacks will lead to an increase in whites race-mixing so they encourage black tribalism. That's why that racist cracker Nickkk Nurse played box-and-one defense on Curry.

I remember seeing plays where teams would double curry in transition and give Durant a wide open dunk.

The thing about chef is he's an avalanche player. Durant can nickel and dime you all game long but there's never been a player capable of opening up the flood gates like Curry.

And if teams are gonna lose they want to at least preserve their dignity.

Durant and Curry together might be the greatest 1-2 punch ever. If Durant hadn't been jealous of Curry or whatever his issues were, the warriors probably would have won another title or two at least.

All this already was well established many years ago. But I guess it’s good to have a refresher.

Cavs chose to leave KD wide open rather than playing Curry straight up. Let that sink in for a moment. Check out any highlights from 17’ and 18’ Finals and KD looks like he’s in open gym going for uncontested layups and dunks with no one even close to him at all. It was comical.

I'd be curious as to what it looked like in 2017 because it seemed similar. I know the Cavs spent 15-16 figuring Curry out, and actually kind of did in 2016. It seems like even when Durant came they still spent a lot more time with that same mindset.

Durant is going to get 30 either way so just let him have it I guess.

But in 2018 in particular the Cavs had absolutely no shot so might as well go with what you know..defending Curry like you always have.
