What I want to know is when did basketball fans stop caring about their team winning?
You see the Bronies celebrating his stats yet again as the Lakers get trounced to a below-.500 record. Although I guess the Bronies aren't exactly representative of "normal" basketball fans...

They don't actually understand why Lebron loses with good stats and always "needs another shooter" or "needs another playmaker" and just always has this needy, underwhelming team that falls from preseason favorite to underdog or loser as a standard (11-16', 21').
They don't see the difference between dominating the ball to get 30 rather than jumpshooting to get 30, and how that affects teammate fits and team strategy (ball movement, team assists, team ceiling/Finals record).

That's just it. I don't think they care. They totally fine with their team losing every game so long as Brony gets "his stats." That would be like me celebrating the Bulls getting beaten by the Magic tonight....because DeRozan got 41 points. YAAAAAAAY!
I can't sympathize with that mindset in any way. I guess it comes from the "everyone gets a trophy" generation. The whole point of a competition is to strive to win. But as a society we've raised a generation who are cool with being losers.

33 points in a vacuum for a player in his prime isn't worth bragging about.
33 points for a 37 year-old in his 19th season is impressive.
33 points being the 17th straight game where you scored at least 25 points at the age of 37 in your 19th season is beyond impressive and will probably never get done again.

What about 33 points, when it's clear by now that your inflated points are hurting your team and even lottery teams are beating you on the reg?
Bonus points for shamelessly putting up 2 points under the basket in a loss, on the last play, when the opposition has stopped playing
If you're a Bron stan...Great.
If you're a Laker fan, I'd be fvcking hating this team killer

But loser "kings" attract loser fans. You and your fellow Bronies really should be ashamed of your low standards.

LeBron is 37 putting up 29/8/6/2 on 52% on a team that hasn't had AD and added a new co-star in Westbrook who has been lackluster for the better part of the season.
Despite injuries and team chemistry woes, he has this team 8th in the conference with AD returning soon. There's a lot of basketball left and I wouldn't be surprised if the Lakers go on a run and finish as high as 5th.
LeBron shouldn't be criticized for the overall team performance when most of the on the court issues are not his fault.
Having said that, LeBron should take criticism for GM moves. Not only is he the team captain/leader and head coach, he's also the team's GM. He's the one who opted to bring in Westbrook, and so he deserves some of the criticism for the way things turn out.
As usual, LeBron haters will pinpoint the wrong points (which can easily be applicable to their own guys like Steph, Kobe, and MJ), and Bran stans will ignore the front office moves that LeBron makes.

Yup, the numbers he's getting he's getting at his age is quite the feat, too bad he totally screwed up during the off season and he's forced to play like he's still 25 just to stay in the playoff race.

And people will keep ignoring that he's getting his own and his style of play is hurting his team and he's clearly not getting results - WINS

He's almost a billionaire who has made money making people like you angry wasting your life thinking about him every day. He is unquestionably better at the sport you love than you are. In the GOAT ranks. Living the good life. Who's the loser?

I guarantee my team's going to make the playoffs. Your hero Brony's team might not even make the play-ins.
But as I said, losers attract losers.

This. Nowadays, never mind if his team is losing. As long as he gets his stats.
Otoh, i thought he's able to elevate his teammates that would lead his team to become competitive throughout the season. What happened tho? Lame excuses like having bum players, retarded coach, inevitable injuries, lack of team chemistry and what more come to play if they fall short of expectations. His stans are compelled to cheer for him whatever he does even if he can't win it all while his haters don't like seeing him do anything well.
These factions are like two opposing atomic bombs bounded to bump each other. Sadly, neither of them is winning the battle. :confusedshrug:
