I will forever love David Ortiz for what he brought to the Sox, but him getting in on the first ballot and Clemens, Bonds, and Schilling not getting in ever is the dumbest f*cking thing I've ever heard of.

To me, an entire wing at Cooperstown should be dedicated to McGwire and Sosa's juiced-up chase of Maris' record and Bonds besting Hank. Nobody seems to remember that baseball was f*cking dying in the 90's. Now all of these owners have billion dollar stadiums and billion dollar TV deals. All these baseball writers who would otherwise be covering D3 women's softball in Buttf*ck, Oklahoma have prominent careers because of those guys.

I played the game, well enough that I got some D1/D2 college attention coming out of high school. I played with steroid guys. I was better than a lot of them because at the end of the day, putting that bat on that ball takes a level of skill that all the muscles in the world can't help you with. The steroid guys need to be in.
