2019 League MVP = big man ( Giannis )
2019 Finals MVP = Kawhi* ( *woulda been durant if healthy, a 7 foot PF )
2020 League MVP = big man ( Giannis )
2020 Finals MVP = big man ( Lebron who plays PF/C ) *shoulda been Davis anyway ( another big man )
2021 League MVP = big man ( Jokic )
2021 Finals MVP = big man ( Giannis )
2022 League MVP = big man ( Embiid )

And Kobe has only 1 MVP, what does that tell you?

Kawhi_Why_Not
01-26-2022, 05:43 PM
That would mean kawhi eliminated 5 MVPS between 3 different players in 2019 playoffs and 1 in each round.

As far as being a big mans game, long way to go for that. Before giannis there hasn't been a dominant big man that won the championship in like 20 years.

teams at the top of the league right now

East:
Heat = Bam
Nets = Durant ( before injury. now they suck )
Bulls = Vucevic
Bucks = Giannis
76ers = Embiid
Cavs = Allen, Mobley, Love

west:
Phoenix = Ayton
Warriors = Draymond
Grizzlies = Jackson Jr./Adams
Jazz = Gobert
Dallas = Porzingis
Denver = Jokic
Wolves = Towns
Lakers = Davis
Portland = Nurkic

most successful teams have allstar caliber bigs now. its not a dead position anymore

If he wins the MVP that means we'll have gone on 7 years without an MVP/Champion same season

he needed durant and klays legs to literally explode in order to win lol. stop bragging about that crap ( and i'm canadian )

Duncan needed dirk to get hurt in 2003 and Webber yore tore his knee

Kobe needed yao ching chong to get hurt in 2009

Duncan needed amare suspension in 2007

Warriors needed kawhi to get hurt in 2017 and Chris Paul in 2019

Giannis needed Irving hurt in 2021

I can write a book about this shit but I'm sure you get the point.

The facts:

- kawhi beat the same warriors team as LeBron did in 2016 but draymond suspended a game instead of klay out a game

- kawhi had the greatest scoring playoff run in history 732 points on 62% TS

- kawhi hit the only game 7 buzzer beater ever

- kawhi eliminated 4 MVPS and possibly 5 if embiid wins. Not to mention other superstars like jimmy butler

The better question is what is there not to brag about. Kevin "Harrison Barnes" Durant was injured, big f'n deal they took a giant shit on Paul/harden without him and swept the west finals

So? From ‘04-‘11 it didn’t happen either.

Is Mutombo really considered a legacy 6er? He was only there for like a hot minute wasnt he? (And yes I know he won a Dpoy in that minute).

And when we think of that era we think of the guys that didn't win over the ones that did
