Stop the hate. Even with Klay out, Curry struggling, and Green missing games, Wiggins has helped the Warriors to an excellent record. He’s the best defender for his position while still scoring 18-20 points consistently. The only other option would be Booker due to their record, but nobody else at Wiggins position was snubbed. The guy is a winner. There’s a reason they call him 2 way Wiggs.

So has Tomato Anderson. And over night all star Poole. And Payton Jnr. Wiggins is alright, hardly "elite". GSW are a good franchise. I agree he's a better defender than Kawhi though.

Wiggins is a role player, hes pretty much the same level as Harrison Barnes. Its freaky that he made it to allstar starter somehow.

Curry's winning spotlight inflates Wiggins just like Klay:

Why do you say role player? He's a good shooter than can get his own shot, plus he's possibly the best defender in the league at his position. Defense is the other part of the game. Barnes could not do it like that. Barnes is a decent shooter, but Wiggins can get his own.

You act like he's had Klay all year. Wiggins has been very useful. He's good.

How is a role player the 2nd option on a team with 2nd most minutes played behind Steph? Harrison Barnes was never that important to the team, rookie Wiggins was on par with Barnes' best years.

ASG is pretty meaningless so idk what the big deal is here, I remember when Kemba was an ASG starter as a ~20 ppg chucker who played no defense as the 3rd wheel in Boston and people didn't have an issue with that, Wiggins is a great player on arguably the best team in the league and the fans voted him in.

Wiggins is a "great player" now?

The winning spotlight has a really strong effect on the perceptions of you guys

I've always been on team Wiggins. He has the mid-range package and the post skills that translate to any era, and he's a great athlete who's also very capable on the defensive end. He's improved as a player on both ends of the court in GS. How else do you think they've been able to keep winning games with Steph's horrible shooting and Green's injury? Wiggins has played a key role in them maintaining an elite defense. Green's missed 15 games and they're still #1 in DRTG.

The Warriors have a great system that does well with any cast given a year or 2 to develop.

This system wouldn't be possible if their #1 option didn't have the goat skillset that he has.

If Curry was a spotty-shooting ball-dominator, then the Warriors couldn't run a good brand of ball - they'd have to run "Curry-ball" while Curry is in the lineup, and then start from scratch learning a good brand when he's out.

Youre having a laugh. Hes a decent defender because of his athleticism but he doesn't have the IQ of an elite defender.

Wiggins is the fourth best player on the Warriors and hes an allstar starter??? Gtfo. Hes not taking as many stupid shots anymore as he used to, but other than that nothing about his game is improved. His handle still sucks and he is an awful creator.

Elite player?

The bar is pretty ****ing low if you think Wiggins is elite. He wouldn't even be one if not for all the injuries to other stars in the West

He doesn't deserve to make an all-star team this year. He's played great for the Warriors no doubt, but not all-star level.

Wiggins is a great defender, but he's note elite. I'm sorry, but there are literally 3-4 players more deserving than Wiggins to get in over him. But every year this happens. This year a K-Pop star with 10 million Instagram followers and 15 million Twitter followers helped with that immensely. He got the third most fan votes for forwards.

Wiggins is just inflated by the winning spotlight - if he wasn't playing on a contending team that got a lot of attention like the Warriors, he wouldn't get the votes.. Ditto Klay.. Klay is one of the more overrated players of all time because of the winning spotlight.. Jeff Hornacek was better.

that's what the winning spotlight does - it inflates relatively low-producers like Wiggins or Klay

The suns are a better team today than the warriors, a team that people should forget and move on over already because their days have been finished since the conclusion of the 2019 finals.
