You know the far-left has gone too far when you have a person like Bill Maher calling them out.

Even if you disagree with him politically, I feel like Bill Maher is one of the rare voices of reason in the political spectrum. And he's correct, the left is committing political suicide going all in on this gender nonsense. It's an issue, if I'm being generous, that maybe 5% of the population remotely cares about. Do we really not have bigger things to worry about than requiring stores to have a gender neutral toy section :lol

bill Maher is very entertaining.
As he quoted he has stayed the same Liberteen.

His point of regulations and rules are out of hand.
This is the government in a nut shell... doesn't matter if demo's or pub's it is all the same.

If you disagree - just ask the military (they have hammers for $20)

Oh it matters. Most heavily taxed and regulated states in the nation

1. NY
2. HI
3. CA
4. NJ
5. VT
6. MD
7. OR
8. DE
9. RI
10. NM

All solid blue states. Coincidence? :lol

I doubt that Oregon is really7 the 7th highest taxed state in the country. While we have a high state income tax rate for people in the top percentile, property taxes are arent bad at all and its one of 4 states with zero sales tax.

It's a combo of tax and regulation. You can't even pump your own gas can you?

For instance Florida, a state with 5x the population of Oregon, is considered the most free state from tax and overregulation. It's state legislature passed 162 new laws in 2021. Oregon added 682 new laws. Like our lives aren't complicated enough already

These days most stations let you pump your own gas (especially since covid)... but does it really matter who pumps your gas? Personally I would gladly give up the right to pump my own gas in exchange for not paying sales tax.

Anyway maybe im the wrong person to answer this question... I care about gas less than most people, these days I mostly drive my Tesla, and I can refill it with electricity in my driveway for like 5% of the price of a tank of gas.

He's a dumbass reactionary libtard who hyper focuses on culture wars to distract people from problems that actually matter.

I used to be on the right, but then the right wing became too radical. I cannot support a party that is very regressive, that actively suppresses people's rights, that spreads BS conspiracy theories, that steals (and tries to steal) elections, that hyper-focuses on white identity politics at the expense of minorities, that panders to dangerous extremists, that supports radical Christian fundamentalism, etc.

The radical and regressive right is the most dangerous force in America and needs to be destroyed.

small government SUPPORTS people's rights. the constitution is designed to PROTECT individual freedom. big government means corporations and self-interests make the regulations. there are thousands of new regulations every year. who do you think those help?

republicans have supported big government mostly, as well, but not to the degree of democrats. i just wish there was an actual libertarian party and not one that is run by looneys

Republicans and Democrats are both against small government.

I'm for small government too, but there are areas where regulations help protect us. During the global financial crisis it was countries that had better-regulated bank sectors that avoided most of the damage. My concern is already too much power has been shifted to corporations and international institutions

Bill Maher should run for POTUS as a libertarian. Then we can get our much need 3 party system going.

He gets respect from both sides. He's a liberal but is against PC woke culture and all that. He could unite the country.

Not enough liberals would accept Bill Maher. He's too sensible and reasonable. If you're not a radical leftist (or at least pander to to them like most elected Dems do) you're going nowhere. That's one reason why a third party cant take hold.

Bill Maher doesn't appeal to the broader community. The only groups he's uniting are the wealthy on both sides who want to roadblock affordable housing and public use projects in the parts of the city they live.

Love him or hate him, Maher is legitimately one of the only voices of reason in the media & political discourse.

One of the best segments I've seen from him in a while.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. I think Republicans hate Woke Nazis more than they hate Bill Maher. So for the time being, since Wokeism was birthed by the Left, Republicans have hopes than Bill Maher's message reaches some of these retards.
