Lebron flew back to LA to get his knee checked out. expect another big game from beastbrook.

Hawks are one of the hottest teams in the league. I’ve got them by 10-15

No D being played by either team. It’s already looking like a big night for triple doublebrook

Capela can't guard Davis at all. Okongwu needs to get 25+ minutes.

Bradley is useless. Time to start Reaves over him on games lebron isn’t playing

Davis can't guard Capela either. He needs to be more aggressive on the offense end, too passive.

By "knee checked out", we mean another round of illegal PED activity....seems about that time of year

Carmelo really isn't good.

Doesn’t need to be. If he comes off the bench 12-15 mins a night, hides on defense and hits a few spot up 3s, that’s really all we need from him.

I suppose. Maybe it's because Bron is out but he looks like he's trying to do too much today. He doesn't even attempt to look elsewhere when he has the ball.

It's honestly a relief whenever he gets it.

Lakers shoot 71% in the first half..

bison
01-30-2022, 03:12 PM
Russ shot selection has been very good this game, and he’s been finding cutters and spot up shooters. If he plays like this consistently, the 4 or 5 TO’s he gives up a night become forgiveable.

Then why did the duo get beat 2x by OKC earlier in the season?

Then why did the duo get beat 2x by OKC earlier in the season?

Lakers were down by like 20 to the Pistons in the 3rd with Bran and then went on a run to win the game after he got ejected lmao. Also, the Lakers lost 10 out of 17 while Davis was out and they had a weak ass schedule. They got blown out by the Spurs and lost to the Pacers at home..

He doesn't play well unless he has complete control of the offense

bison

Well Russ needs the ball and to be heavily involved in the offense in order for him to optimize his talents. Obv can’t do that when lebron is in the game. But he does also play much better when AD is on the floor. Vogel has to really stagger Bron and Russ minutes when Bron returns from his yearly PED injections.

He had control of the offense last year and was the worst player in the league for the first half of the season.

Isn't that the critique of Bronball? Players cannot find a rhythm because Bron is so ball dominant?

7 in a row for the Hawks. The encouraging part of this game is I really feel like the Lakers played very well and it still wasn't enough.

Wins over Heat, Bucks, Lakers, Hornets, Celtics, T'Wolves, and Kings. Not exactly an easy stretch.

No he's not. He got hot shooting but he was being guarded by Trae quite a bit.

DeAndre Hunter, who is the only truly good perimeter defender on the Hawks, spent most of his time on Russ.

This was the worst game of the Hawks 7 game winning streak. Nobody said anything last time the Hawks played when the Hawks had to play with a bunch of G-Leaguers. This is the 1st time all season the Hawks have had their full roster and they are a problem with or without Lebron.

Okongwu is not better yet, just more talented but he has more impact than Capella this season.
Capela is not playing well. He is the QB on defense, the main communicator and the backbone of the starting defense. He has been a step slow all season missing easy lob layups and has no lift I think he is still injured. Both are going to need to play well to make a deep playoff run.

You're right about him being slow. But that also works to his detriment on defense. Has really hasn't been good on that end.

I think you’re right about no lebron no difference. If lebron played he would freeze out monk and wb and we wouldn’t get the same production from other players. In other words we would have lost anyway, with lebron bricking 3s during crucial plays.
